Still can't buy it yet. Not until after NaNo and finals. I saw "Civ V" the other day at Best Buy and had to work very, very hard to walk away (they didn't even have "New Vegas" at all, but that's not surprising. My state is the last to get just about anything decent)....

I've been searching for sidequests for a while and I'm still not getting tired of it. Ran into my first real bug, but it might be a story-structure problem...so it might be my fault. Still, it was kinda annoying. But! Yeah, I love this game, glad everyone else seems to be fond of it, too! =D I'm getting the odd CTD on my computer but I really don't think that differentiates it from Fallout 3. A couple of Legion assassins popped out of nowhere after I iced a couple of their troopers in an entirely too scripted way. Otherwise bug free.

1000 Denarii to whoever brings me the head of the developer that came up with Cazadors. I hate those things, they're just impossible to kill!

Shooting their wings off helps...but it only slows them down, apparently. They're beasts. I had to reload like five times because of them. Bumped me off a hill one time. >=O
Those assassins came after me, too, but they appeared on the other side of a hill, so it didn't look so scripted at the time.

By the time I ran into a Cazador for the first time I was rather well armed. I also had 2 comanions to distract them. Between Veronica's epic fist of death and my sharpshooting they go down pretty quick. I picked up a sniper rifle today and picked off all the deathclaws hanging around the outside of the quarry. No damn way I'm going in there yet though. Without surprise I'm pretty sure the bigger ones will just eat me.

No no no. They'll just tear you apart and leave your body in a cave somewhere for the next guy to loot.

Sure but the sneak attack bonus is where the one shotting is coming from. Besides if they get close enough for me to use VATS reliably on them then in my opinion that is too damn close.

A rather good point, that. This is why we keep Lincoln's Repeater on us at all times. Just tell Hannibal Hamlin that it's not really Abe's in the first place and it's a "damn good rifle"

That rifle has seen some mileage now hasn't it? Where is Hamlin? Not met him yet.

Hey guys, the voice actor who played the cross dressing nightkin on Black mountain is actually the same guy who played as Saren from Mass Effect according to some sources. Oh speaking of nightkins, they scare the crap out of me most of the time in the game, due me getting my ass handed over in hardcore mode when I first met them. Although when I've fixed Talitha's robot buddy, I've almost died laughing when he/she/it shows up in a tacky blonde wig and a pair of kitch heart shape sunglasses.
I have to say I'm quite impress with New Vegas, especially the choices you can make and I'm not counting the sandbox playground. Particullarly the fun starts after you deal with the guy who shot you in the first place and getting your package back. Now this what you call an RPG, where many different choices affects the whole Nervada.
Next playthough, I'll be playing as a smooth talking character who hits on anything that moves on two legs. ^.^
Mr. Buch, imo get New Vegas. I'd say it's what Fallout 3 should have been... minus the glaring bugs and the stupid regional steam code on the PC version. I'm done with the Fable series, so I'll pass fable 3.

Hamlin is in Fallout 3... Sorry. Damn you, that was my favorite rifle in Fallout 3 and you got my hopes up. Though for short range work a trail carbine does just the trick. Mount a scope on it and it's a nasty accurate little beast. Haven't tried any of the higher end shotguns. Never liked 'em in games.
