Depending on how the ending goes over for me, I'd almost make the claim that it's better than Fallout 3 in most ways. o.O

Whoah!
I am quite tempted to play this during the winter holidays... Knight do I want to play this or Fable 3? ;D

That's a tough one...
I think since you enjoyed Fable II just as much as I did, you should probably set your sights on Fable III. It's good fun, hilarious, and has a good story.
New Vegas, for all intents and purposes, is pretty much the same game as Fallout 3. The writing is much better (Obsidian) and there are a bunch of clever aspects (a gang of Elvis impersonators). But I'd still say get 'em both! xD

I really fancy New Vegas for some reason.

Any game in which you can watch Felicia Day punch a mutant's head off with a power fist is worth at least a rent.

Any game in which you can watch Felicia Day punch a mutant's head off with a power fist is worth at least a rent. Agreed! At this point, I would say New Vegas would be the way to go. Fable III is great, but it's pretty buggy as is. Plus, it has stuff like this: CONJUGATE THE VERB!

'People called Romanes, they go to the 'ouse?'
Looks like this game has plenty of bugs, too! Honestly.

If it's got anything to do with Bethesda, it's got bugs. A disclaimer about such may as well be on every package.

New Vegas is really, really buggy. I got stuck between two shelves once, and then my Piip-Boy kept obscuring itself with its own flashlight.

Yeah, it is pretty buggy. Personally, I've only run into a few:
My arms would fly up into the air if I got too close to an item. But that hasn't happened again since the patch.
The way point marker would send me to a random place for no reason before correcting to the right spot.
And Old Lady Gibson and her dogs randomly spawned in front of me when I left a building. It was crazy.
But honestly, none of the bugs I've run into are game breaking. They're not even that frequent. Fable III, they're frequent and they sometimes ruin the minigames. Both of these games need more patches.
Obsidian's Response: "Patches? We don't need no stinking patches!"

I just found a bug that removes a companion sidequest trigger, I think.

I don't think I got any companion sidequests, except for Rex's. This is troubling!
Also, I own New Vegas now. =D

Gotta say, the companions have been one of the greatest things about this game for me. From the cold sniper with a grudge against the Legion, the scientist who may just be hiding something to the down-on-her-luck caravan owner, Obsidian really did a good job with all of them. I kinda wish you could recruit all of them, like in Fallout 1 and 2, instead of just one human/ghoul/Super Mutant and the dog/robot.

Just got this today. I like it, Obsidian kept the free roaming elements but gave it a smidge more structure. just enough that I think I'll actually be able to finish this one.
Gotta reroll my character though. Got my ass handed to me at a quest and decided moar stats needed before I go into that area again.

I've been searching for sidequests for a while and I'm still not getting tired of it. Ran into my first real bug, but it might be a story-structure problem...so it might be my fault. Still, it was kinda annoying.
But! Yeah, I love this game, glad everyone else seems to be fond of it, too! =D
