I've recently got into Fallout 3 a lot more than I ever did, probably because New Vegas comes out next month. I'm really hyped up for it.
One of my main reasons is this hardcore mode the developers have been talking about. You have hunger and thirst meters, so you have to eat and drink, as well as keep up an 8 hour sleep cycle. Stimpacks don't heal instantly and everything, including ammo and money, has weight. I like injecting a little realism into games, so I think this'll definitely be the mode for me.
Is anyone else looking forward to this?

That would be very, very interesting! And it will fit the Fallout 3 style so well.
I'm very curious indeed to see how that goes. Could lead to amazing things. But somehow F3 just didn't do it for me, so I won't be buying.

I'll probably buy it, just not right away. I had a hard time getting into "Fallout 3" at first, but it did win me over eventually. Hmm, "Starcraft 2", "New Vegas", "Civ V"... crap, and this *is* the month that I elected to cut back on my hours to concentrate on my classes. Damn you, game devs!

I know what you mean. I still need to get Mafia 2, there's Civ 5 this month, then New Vegas and Fable 3 next month, then Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and The Force Unleashed 2 in November. Being a crack addict is cheaper than being a gamer. So, another cool thing about New Vegas is the weapon mods system Obsidian is implementing (They're also adding in a ton of weapons that weren't in Fallout 3, like 9mm pistols, dynamite, and coolest of all, a rapid firing grenade launcher.) My characters in Fallout tend to be mechanical/science types, rather than straight up fighters, so this suits me just fine. And Obsidian are making some pretty darn cool custom skins for unique weapons, like this:

Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games of all time, and so was Fable II. So having both sequels coming out within a week of each other is going to kill me.
I had a very good time with Fallout 3. I loved that the game rewarded you for exploring, put things in the game that you might never find no matter how many times you play it, and how they may everything so tongue-in-cheek at the same time. And the DLC was amazing. I really hope Obsidian doesn't drop the ball on this one.

At least you'll get it in time for the weekend! =D Week...end? What is this Week End that you are referring to? Sorry, couldn't resist, 13 years as a cook, restaurant manager and now tech support I have very little concept of that mystical concept called a weekend.

The same applies for health care if you aren't an MD.

I know what you mean there. My doctor takes month long vacations and three day weekends. I would say emergency room doctors buck that trend though. They get paid mucho extra dinero for that service though I think.

ER docs on call make a crap-ton. Your average "grunt" ER doc... not always.
Here's some free advice for the Stateside crowd: if you can help it, don't go to an ER in July. Why? Because that's when most of the regular docs and nurses go on vacations, and you'll probably get stuck with a med school resident. (I have no idea if this is also true elsewhere, but you may want to ask around.)
I can suddenly feel my back and left shoulder again, which means the Captain Morgan has officially worn off. $(%(! Time to lay down.
