I was with you there Knighty until all the 'ya'll'ing. Then my mind switched off as if it was watching Sister Sister from the 90's.
Beowolf just leaned to heavy on the celebrity appearances and it jumped about time line wise a tad to much. I wanted it to give me something more. I spent most of the movie making out with Daniel in the back aisle. (It was our year anniversary or something I don't recall the exact date.) I'm looking forward to Planet 51 and that other sci-fi that's coming out oh and of course Astroboy! Not sure if they're out this x-mas though. Daniel doesn't want to see Avatar at all he keeps ranting about the director being a pussy. lol Reminds me of the time I called Peter Jackson a pussy director. Never seen him so incensed.

Keith David was in 'The Thing'? And 'Coraline'? What? o.O He was the only other guy to survive the entire movie in "The Thing" and played the black cat in "Coraline." You have brought dishonor upon your family! *hands Buch a katana*

I know! It's depressing as hell that she had to be called Venus because there are no famous female painters.
And its also depressing because, you know... the live-action show sucks.

And its also depressing because, you know... the live-action show sucks. *Adjusts monocle* True as it may be that there are no Italian female painters named Venus during the Renaissance Age, one of the more renowned paintings to come out of Italy during that time was one "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli. You may have seen it before: Though, this Venus ninja turtle still a silly idea, just like Spider-woman, Bat-girl, and She-Hulk. Harumph.

She-hulk from the 90's tv series was fun. I read a brief amount of her in a comic and she seemed like a oppressed women hiding behind the men but still the TV show she was awesome. Why do all the Marvel super-heroine's seem to lack muscle tone and weight 90bls?
As for famous female italian painters. I'm sure Frida Kahlo was italian.

Frida Kahlo is too modern, I think. But that would have been a nice touch. *Adjusts monocle* True as it may be that there are no Italian female painters named Venus during the Renaissance Age, one of the more renowned paintings to come out of Italy during that time was one "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli. That's what I mean - it's a shame that the girl turtle is not named after a great artist, but a pirce of art itself. There is some sinister sexism in that fact. Wait, I thought She-Hulk was pretty muscular?

She hulk is the exception. But then again I recall her form the tv series and in tv series deadpool is a skinny git. So I don't trust to two mediums.

Necromacing this thread.
So... has anyone actually seen "The Last Airbender"? Me and a friend were planning to see it as soon it comes out in September over in Australia. We both knew it was bad, but we're going to see it for the sake of seeing how much of a trainwreck it is... and snarking.
And yes... it's horrifying to see a film that is MUCH worse than Eclipse.

I saw the trailer, in which I was supposed to be amazed by the hero's ability to... blow out lots of candles? Who thought that was a dramatic way to show some guy's power?
I did read that in the cartoon, the heroes are asian, and the villain's white, yet in this live action movie, the heroes are played by white actors, and Dev Patel plays the formerly white villain. That seems a bit racist to me.

I've been told by a few people that the movie is terrible. They tried to make it a 3D movie (like "Clash of the Titans") even though it was filmed in 2D. I was kind of hoping Shamylan (I never spell it right) would finally produce something decent after all his recent flops, but I guess it didn't work that way.
