If Danyerys kills Henry Winkler next week, I'm gonna quit watching this show.

I really liked the finale. Everyone got an ending.

Loved Stephen Root's uncredited cameo where he whispered "Barry Berkman did this!" in Drogon's ear.

I loved the finale - and I have to say - what happened to Daenerys didn't make me cry in itself, but I teared up a bit when Drogon was nudging her body with his nose - as if to say "Mommy, wake up! Why won't you move, Mommy?" I really enjoyed the final scene with the intercut bits showing Jon, Sansa, and Arya embarking on their new lives - I feel like it was the best for all three of them. I also have no trouble at all seeing Dany's descent into tyranny - I saw that coming ages ago; she's shown a penchant for killing since season one when she burned Mirri Maz Duur on Drogo's funeral pyre (and even before that, when she watched her husband kill her brother with no reaction besides scorn for her brother) - and her reaction to the Thirteen of Qarth in Season 2 - and what she did to Doreah and Xaro Xoan Daxos in the Season 2 finale) - and her treatment of the slavers in Season 3 - basically, anyone who gets in her way gets burned. Yes, the people she killed up until Season 7 were bad people, evil people, tyrants and slavers, but she learned that she gets what she wants by killing those in her way - is it really that surprising that she'd continue that mindset? Anyway, I really enjoyed the Game of Thrones finale, and now I am excited to see how the books go from here on out.

I'm not even remotely caught up yet but have not really been adverse to spoilers. Sorry to say that I kind of saw Dany being the final villain quite a while back. She wanted the throne and maybe at one point could have been a good ruler but she wanted it from day one for the wrong reason. She saw it as hers. Circe thought it was hers too. They were distorted mirrors of each other as presented in the show. I won't really get Martin's direct take on this as I am not a fan of his prose so the show is all I have. Maybe I'll struggle my way through the rest of the books but i got depressed during the prologue of the second one and gave up.
The uproar over the final season was predictable and predictably stupid. It seems like more and more fandoms want the control over the creations taken from the creators and Beelzebub help those who don't validate EVERYONE'S pet theories simultaneously.
Maybe shows should format themselves as "choose your own adventure" books from now on. *shudder*

How awesome would it be if Sam's progressive, modern ideals that prisoners shouldntt be executed or sent to the wall and Bronn's love of coin had resulted in Jon getting chucked into Westeros' first for-profit prison.
Total Twilight Zone ending.
