Things we learned from this season finale: - Cirian Hinds has been assassinated several times in his filmography (Rome, In Brudges), so he knows how awful it is and will never do it to somebody else. - Stannis is bad news, and he travels every bit as fast as it does on its own. - Twincest isn't pleasant to watch, nor was it the first eighteen times we saw it. - Gregor Clegane will become Maester Frankenstein's monster. - Even the Stormborn isn't safe from political irony. - Gotta keep those dragons shackled. - Hodor is a zombie killing badass. - People who live in underground tree fortresses usually do pretty well for themselves in staying chin above in crisis situations. - Let's just hope that bearded dude didn't have the Moon Door in mind when he told him Bran would be able to fly. - Sometimes, you just gotta lay off on the oaths. - Don't insult somebody if you want them to end your misery. It'll just make them rob you and leave you for dead. - Always carry correct change for important ship rides. - Told ya'll there wouldn't be any crossbows.

I kinda hoped Tyrion and Arya would be on the same boat, like an cut away thing. Also the changes amde from the novels were REALLY good...except for Shae's ultimate fate. That was weird...liked the scene tho! All in all I loved season 4 because of the Tyrion-Jaime relationship. I really hope we get to see Peter Dinklage and Nikolaj Coster Waldau get more screentime in season 6...
Also this is the second week in a row we can use this song!

Now this is just plain awesomeness... The Queen's Guards performs the Game of Thrones Theme during the changing of the Royal Guards at Buckingham Palace! So very awesome...

Have you all heard of the three interesting theories floating around? R+L=J I think this has to be accurate and Snow's "death" in DWD is a feint. It suggests that Jon Snow's long hinted at mother is none other than Lyanna Stark, and his father is actually Rhaegar Targaryen.
The second theory is is that Tyrion is not actually Lannister, but a bastard son of Aerys Targaryen, through a forced romance with Tywin's wife Joanna. Supposedly Tywin found out about it and tried to have the baby aborted and that's why he came out the way he did. Even now, he could never PROVE Tyrion wasn't his. I never caught anything like this in the books, but it could fit.
Last but not least, the white walkers built the wall to keep people out, not the other way around.

My version of "Rains of Castamere" that I call "Rains of Lannister".
"And who are you, the proud lord said, that you do not bow? Only a nomad without a land, that's all the truth I know. Your dusted cloak against a coat of gold, a mouse against a lion. And my claws are long and sharp, nomad, long and sharp as steel. And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that Lord of Lannister. But now the rains weep o'er his hall with all there to hear. Yes, now the rains weep o'er his hall, and all the souls do hear."

Ah, but half the fun of the Rains of Castamere is that the name of the people killed was the Reynes of Castamere.

And all the fun in my version is turning the Lannister's favorite song into a thinly-veiled "fuck you".

So, for any Book-Readers out there who know what this might mean, this was apparently put on IMDB as a hoax - but, who's with me in hoping that there might be a return of this particular actress to the show, for this reason? I, for one, was fairley (pun very much intended) disappointed when Lady Stoneheart did not make an appearance in Season 4... but, there's still time! Maybe it could still happen!

I like the idea of Sansa taking names and kicking ass.

That casting's pretty funny, considering her brother in Game of Thrones is a paralyzed psychic.
