Thanks knight. Still looks kinda too girly to be turian like... I've tried. And here's my attempt at doing the whole body so I can start showing comparison but... I've kinda fucked it up. So I've ended up drawing her in a action stance. This is the standard uniform/armour I've imagine her wearing as a Combat Medic, since we got that turian wearing a dress, why not her in her simple light armour and labcoat? Ah well next time... there's always photoshop to start drawing from scratch... mind you using the graphics tablet can be difficult, I'm too used to the touch of the pencil and paper. One other thing, I've should have seen that coming with that turian girl in the comics: She's been bitching and whining about her assignment through out the whole comic. Kinda explains the fancy dress uniform, she's kinda acted like a snobby military brat for sure.

Neat, Till! That's pretty much how I had them figured, too. They seem to have larger / more pronounced eyes, which is an interesting idea.

Nice sketches, Tillian! Maybe these are young (female) turians! Hence, you know, cute looking, big eyes and all.

Thanks guys Actually, yeah. She's actually 16 years old, 1 year fresh from boot camp and into the army. That's why you see her a bit more... youthful. Better not ask why she had the same face paint as Garrus. It's a long (and ugly) backstory. That reminds me, I've made one mistake in the uniform part: She wasn't suppose to wear something that spells out "I'm a medic" like a combat labcoat. In real life military, most medics tend to be subtle about being a medic, since enemies tends to shoot the medic first. Ah wells, maybe a intern medic then, where she spends most of her time in tent than on the battlefield? Besides, the labcoat looks good. Still I had fun drawing different variations of female turians. You know, I want to see more variation with not just turians but other species. Since we have the "Saren Horns" and Mordin's missing horn thingy, we should see more. Maybe an asari with a ugly asymetrical sculpt, etc. And I'm still going to say this: Hopefully that turian woman from the comic is one of the kind where she had a genetic defect where all her head fringes falls out, becoming bold.

Ahhhhhh, of course. I didn't realise it was her. Aw, man, I hope you won't be forced to re-draw her bald!

Nah, I didn't. Don't worry Buch. I was holding back till I see an official image of them and now after I've seen the comics... well you seen my reaction before. So yeah, I had to make do with my concept.
Then again, it explains why her biological mother threw her in a garbage bin on when she was a baby. I know bold turians are not pretty, but do you really have to be cruel to do that?
Update:
I got called out on deviantart for bitching about the lack of fringe and adding a turian beard, after I've posted my picture on DeviantArt. Here's the comment:
no it doesnt . . . it doesnt contradict canon, I am sick of explaining this to people. . . the fringe of a turian is not static, it gros and needs to be groomed.
plus he doesnt say taht a long fringe is preferable, he just says the fringe would have been something to complement them on. WHICH heavily indicates that different women wear their fringes differently
and why the ear horns for female designs? Its the turian equivalent of a beard
So... honestly, did I missed the memo about that part? I've been visiting Mass Effect Wiki regularly and they didn't mention about that. Maybe if I visit the BioWare forums, it might clarify, especially from the Garrus thread. Still wouldn't that info would be on the wiki itself?
And please, don't attack the person. I'm still waiting for a response and s/he might have a good explanation to it.

You're right, just fuck all of it. His final response was like this:
and you are speculating that it is a genetic trait . . . . . . . . . . . . my theory presents an explanation for the supposed continuity errors, your theories only purpose is to allow you to get angry at supposed continuity errors
I hate to point this out but there is such a thing as theory being superior to someone elses theory, that is why darwinian evolution is taught in schools over lamarckian
After I've showed him the link, Mass Wiki and admitted that I'm also merely speculating as well. And after I've polite told him that "None of use are right at this time. Let's put this debate down for a while."
Some people are too persistent with the internet tolling arguments... and I thought I was bad.

So it turned out he was just making it up?
It looks that this person has very strong opinions on turians and the Mass Effect wiki. Meh.

More like delusional, just look at the whole arguement at my page: tilliancatcher.deviantart.com/#/d39j22pAdmittedly, I was acting a little scarthing about the whole turian women as bold in my artist description box, but I didn't outright saying it in a insulting way... like picking on BioWare or something like that. Another pet peeve I'm going to add later on. I hate when people use Darwinism or insinuating my intelligences. It's like calling blind person that he had lack of taste in colour. On a personal level, it felt very insulting consider my mental condition I've been dealing with since childhood. Tell me about it... and isn't Darwinism considered to be dismissed to the science community? Also another personal thing I hate Darwinism is due to the an ugly history in Australia, where most 'white' Australians abducted half aboriginal kids back then, as a way to get rid of the 'lesser homosapiens'. And I maybe be going over the line but didn't the Nazi use that excuse as well to get rid of the Jews at the time?

I think you guys may be confusing Darwin with eugenics.

I think I have probably have. Still I'm quite pissed about the whole thing, pulling the Darwinism card just to call me a retard who had no place in humanity and pointing out that my turian girl looks like a she male subtly.
Out of one of a chance when it comes to drawing speculation species fan art, I have to have an assholish kid in my comment section who thinks 'his' theory is absolutely right... I like to him to say that in the BioWare forums... preferably the Garrus thread.
Sorry still sore atm. I know it will happen sooner or later when posting your stuff on the net, being a prick about due to be 'incorrect' with the lore? Ever heard of "using your imagination" and "think outside of the box"?

I hear you. I got the impression he was just looking for a random argument about turians and you were unlucky enough to catch his eye. Is there a way you can delete his comments / ban him?

Not sure but I can't bar him from comments sadly.
I have no choice but to wait till this whole thing blows over.
I've kinda wish that someone pointed out to him how he was speculating, not stating from the official lore.
I'm really having a bad day.
