It's just that they're... boring. After waiting so long, I was expecting more than 'the same as the men but bald'.

Well, I suppose this makes me the only one that doesn't mind?
Also, nice photoshops. =D

It does seem inconsistent with what (albeit few) references there were in the game. But, well, that's fine. I can understand Garrus's predicament with Shepard more easily now, though.

I still insist they need a fringe.
And less implied boobage.

If BioWare had their own Ten Commandments, "Thou shalt include implied boobage" would be near the top, just below "Thou shouldst go."

I always imagined them to be slightly smaller than males, and "plainer" in colour but otherwise identical to the males. That pic makes me think of the ghouls from Fallout 3 TBH. Ugh.

Well, the body designs for the turians are ok, but they could have been a little smaller to make it more women like. I'm not saying that all female races should look beautiful, all I'm asking is a canon consistency. Garrus mentions that women have head fringes, that tag-along turian in the bachelor party on Illium said asari looked like blue turians due to the head fringe. And let's not even start about turian biology needs a head fringe to protect their skulls from frying by the radiation from the sunlight on Palaven. BioWare, check your own Mass Effect world building encyclopedia damn it! >.< Anyways, to be honest, I'm not taking credit for the first photoshop pic, that was from the Cerberus Daily News forums... However, the I'm more than happy enough to take the credit for the 2nd picture. I'm really proud of my turian version of Tabitha. Update: found another fan art picture of female turians, that was following the style of the fringeless turian art scheme. I think this suits a bit better. fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/020/d/b/lady_turian_by_hanna_fia-d37ni11.jpg

Bah, the second pic has the Turian standing with the back arched forward thrusting the chest out. It's actually pretty flat looking to me. But put a long flowing garment on and puff your chest out and it might LOOK like there are breasts. I just don't see it unless I'm looking for it.

They probably one of those cylindrical body shapes build. I've didn't noticed the boobs that much. That kinda reminds me, this picture confirms that she's wearing a dress. At least she's cover up well... right?

There's an even simpler thing: make them identical to male turians.
It's like, how can you not easily tell if a reptile, or bird (hell, I can't tell with dogs, either!) is male or female unless you, uh, check specifically? Yet they have no trouble knowing among themselves.
Sexual dimorphism is not ubiquitous, after all.

It's like the dwarves from LOTR: Tolkien said the difference was in their beards...

That kinda reminds me, somewhere on TV tropes, someone called them "Space Dwarfs"
After seeing this character... makes sense.

Double post but I did a tiny experiment with a good old fashion pencil and eraser, just to see what happens if I added those little turian 'horns' that Saren had. And adding a bit more face paint, imagination that taken a bit too liberal with the 'canon' female turians... and you get this. So yeah... my retention. *cough* No body comparison between male and female... will get to it soon. No curves though, turian don't have curves.
