If this is true, then I appreciate BioWare being a little more forward with the storyline info, instead of springing another "Shepard is dead" BS on us.
I don't want multiplayer though. It's almost always detrimental to the single-player experience.

Erg. I don't really want multiplayer either.

Here are the facts: -ME3 will have Shepard rallying the civilizations of the Alliance against the Reapers. Yes! -The final battle will most likely take place on Earth, if not a great portion of it. YES, YES! -There will be a multiplayer element. Crap. But still! Those other two are very good news!

If BioWare can pull off what UbiSoft did with AC: Brotherhood, then I'll be happy. The multiplayer became an extension of the story itself, which made sense and added a whole lot of fun. We'll see how this goes, though.

I was going to bring up Brotherhood also. That game has a solid storyline as well as an exciting multiplayer aspect for, well, the gamers who are interested in that.
That said...
SQUEE. I'm planning on watching the VGA tomorrow to see what other announcements they come out with.

Yeah, I suppose. I think Ubisoft Montreal had done at least five games with multiplayer before Brotherhood, so it's safe to assume they knew what they were doing, whereas this, the final chapter of one of gaming's biggest trilogies, will be BioWare's first attempt at multiplayer. I don't like the sound of that.
If they bring back crouching, that would be cool too.

Well, there goes a whole...shedload of speculations on my part. I suppose with multiplayer being a part of the game now I am going to have to use hotkeys for my abilities instead of the abilities menu. I guess the infiltrators zoom time dilation effect is going to go away too. Sad times on both counts for me.

They'd better write the hell out of the ME story, Brotherhood was good, but short. They had better not do that to ME3.

Not sure how I feel about this. I don't really mind that there's a multiplayer aspect, as long as it doesn't overwhelm the real game (like CoD did).
I was hoping it would be a separate game. It seems to me that the way mass effect works currently is sort of...clunky, for multiplayer that is. Does anyone else feel this way? I'd think they'd have to do a lot of overhauling of the game for mp to work. Hopefully that doesn't really interfere with the single player.
Of course, I suppose it could end up like Red Dead Redemption, where the multiplayer did not interfere at all with the main game. Then again, I didn't find Red Dead's online that fun either.
Hmm.

Screw Shepard, only The Doctor can save us now!
I loved that trailer though.

Soooo Whovian. I'm so excited! One year to wait! And you know they'll be giving us tidbits like new characters and romance options throughout the wait.

Hopefully a little more ME2 DLC. "bridging the gap" is not one DLC with Liara.

That trailer was very, very awesome, but I kinda laughed when he said "And if Shepard doesn't get here soon..." and Shepard's just sitting up there watching everything burn. That's so John Shepard.
