I read the first one. It was quite bad. And then people started teling me that others ranged from 'bad' to 'pointless and bad' to 'so pointless it doesn't even bother to check basic continuity'.

The first one did, however, introduce me to the best ever fictional swear word: Hrakkors.

I actually got Redemption (the infamously bad one with the cereal and toothbrush scenes), but never got around to reading much of it. Kai Leng did blow up an auction house with two grenades disguised as coins or something daft like that, though. Bloody Marty Stu.
Seriously, from what I read about him, he really sounds like a very immature thirteen year-old's idea of a badass.

I rate the ME novels to be somewhat more coherent versions of the fics that find themselves on my MST list. Speaking of which, I need to get off my lazy arse and get back to the riffing as well as writing my own story.

Yes, yes you do. The MST of that one where that guy from our world goes to the ME 'verse was pretty darn funny.

I read about half of ME: Revelation and stopped - and this was when I was absolutely Mass Effect crazy. It's written in Karpyshyn's usual style of creating some basic plot and having 2/3rds of it taken up with word count padding action scenes. I mean, Saren is the main antagonist, but he's not introduced until halfway through the book.
I tried again with Retribution, since it was supposedly one of his better novels, but I think I got like a third of the way into the book and the only things that happened were some guy climbed a flight of stairs and the Illusive Man took a drink of whiskey.

And it seems too that Rock Jumper has basically vanished off the face of the Earth, so it's not likely to be updated any time soon.

I've tried reading Retribution, but I couldn't get pass the whiskey scene for some reason. I don't have the intention to read the whole thing, since time is essential these for me.
Now for the MST. I missed those, you get those MST sessions back up and running again.

It seems that bad Mass Effect-based ripoff of "Monster Rancher" known as "The Ripple Effect" is alive and well. Considering the first chapter got Jossed, I think it's about time I turned around at began anew on that on.

Well, as long the MST thread is confirm that it's not dead, I'm more than happy to wait around for an update.
