I still prefer Christian Bale as Batman... Sorry... Don't make me drag out the evidence, I'll be here all night. Conroy is king, though. One of the best things about the Arkham games was him and Mark Hamill reprising their roles. Which they (kind of undertandably, but still) aren't in the new game. As if I wasn't apathetic enough about it already. In fact, they've got Troy Baker playing the younger Joker, as if he wasn't already in enough stuff.

I do not like the cheesy, campy, rubber-nippled and / or batusi-dancing drag queen-style batmans. I like the Nolan-verse in general because it has numerous actors I love (Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy ande Hathaway, to name a few), and I am of the opinion that "The Dark Knight" (the man, not the movie title) is supposed to be a vengeance-seeking vigilante, and having him dressed in purplish-black man-panties over a purplish-grey bodysuit, dancing the batusi, and using silly stuff like "The Bat-Shark Repellent", is not (in my opinion) a proper vigilante. Am I seriously the only one in the world who likes her Batmans dark?? And her Jokers actually scary and psychotic, as opposed to campy and silly? I find this hard to believe... Maybe I'm just too dark myself... me and my kitten-loving darkness...

Just my opinion but there is nothing campy or silly about Hamil's Joker.

I've never seen Hamill's Joker. I saw Jack Nicholson's Joker... and much preferred Heath Ledger's take on the role.

Hamill's Joker is pretty screwed up. He is the exact foil for Conroy's Batman. I think you should Batman TAS a shot Lily, i think it's right up your alley. Trust me, i love Conroy's Batman. He was the SOLE reason I watch anything Justice League. in fact chances were if one episode didnt have Batman i skipped it...i know childish but i came for the dark knight.
West is pretty much the Batman you just like, like an silly uncle who makes an idiot of himself but you cant help to love him.

I enjoy the darker Batman, but it's a bit overplayed after the Nolan films. I really hope the next one has Robin, villains with powers/unrealistic origins. And isn't ashamed of calling Catwoman Catwoman or the Batmobile the Batmobile.

I'm happy with what we got from the Nolan-verse. I;m guessing since the folk at Dc are making the JLA movie they will make more meta human based enemies for Bats to fight if the Batman franchise needs to be rebooted...again. I wanna see Killer Croc myself, eating people up.

I like every screen version of Batman (except that racist one from the fifties...) and kind of like them all in different ways. The Adam West show is glorious as a campy comedy, the Tim Burton film is extremely stylish and while very untrue to the character it's great in a lot of ways, Batman and Robin is so bad it's a masterpiece, the Animated Series is excellent and completely accurate in the same way as Batman's best comics, and then the Nolan trilogy is a great thriller that really elevates the material.
It's cool that the core concepts of the Batman premise are so good that they can lend themselves to such wildly different tones and genres and still feel legit. Th character can be a tortured detective or a boy scout hero or a comedic figure in a silly outfit, and his best nemesis can be anything from an unpredictable psychopath to a comedian to... Cesar Romero. I like 'em all. Except Batman Forever, the Val Kilmer / Jim Carrey one. That film commits the ultimate sin of being boring. Give me a lousy film over a dull one any day.

What did you think of this scene?
How high must Aidan Gillen have been? (To be fair to him, Nolan apparently wouldn't tell him anything about his character, "C.I.A. Guy" because he didn't want his masterpiece spoiled. Nolan's a dick.)

That scene? I thought it was cool but kind of implausible and a little silly. I thought that about Bane in general, sadly. I liked him but... there was something a little daft about him.

I liked his manner of speech, the way he talked sounded sort of... lyrical, maybe?

Yeah I'll give you that. He was interesting and well-acted, but... odd. The vocal effect on his voice sounded a bit off maybe?
I don't know what any of this has to do with the Mass Effect novels by the way. ;D
