It's hard to unseen him as the Patrician from "Going Postal" as well. I saw him first in that mini-series before i saw him on GoT, and i went "Perfect casting!".

Yeah. Lord Veternari for the win!
They keep fastforwarding Arya's story. I'm wondering how they'll slow things down so she's able to make the red wedding on time.

They might actually be speeding up that part of the storyline as well - I mean, Robb's already gettin' it on with Talisa, so maybe The Late Lord Frey will get pissy sooner as a result...
I just wonder how they're going to play the whole "Joffrey dumps Sansa for Margaery" plot - and I find myself at odds with myself over the casting for Margaery Tyrell - I mean, Natalie Dormer is a great actress, and she is rather beautiful (as Margaery is described in the books) but she portrays Margaery as slightly more manipulative than she was in the book - granted, Margaery was shown only from Sansa's POV in the book, so it might be Sansa's feather-headed interpretation of people clouding this opinion, but... I thought Margaery was a lot more sweet and innocent in the book. At first, that is... until she starts butting heads with Cersei...
Then again, I might just have Natalie Dormer =/= Queen Anne Boleyn (of The Tudors show) in my mind - and Anne Boleyn in The Tudors was a manipulative little bitch... so maybe I'm just seeing that...

The Tyrells come in to save the day at Blackwater (next episode) and the price for that is marrying her to Joffrey. Probably won't become a major plot point until next season. I think she was just as manipulative in the books. It was just that Cersei is portrayed are far more manipulative, and unable to see that she is fighting herself.
I never watched tudors... except for a certain scene in the gardens.

I do like the changes made here, that way it makes sense Cersei and Margaery come to blows about Joffery and later on Tommen. Making Cersei more like-able in the show was a nice change i did like, since i did think of her as heartless a few times in the book and thus 2-dimensional.

Cersei's fear is so evident in this episode that she actually comes out of it a pretty compelling character. Tyrion's horror at what he has to do and astonishment that he was succeeding was powerful. I like that the Hound's backstory is never told and still we were able to get how badly the fire messed him up. Sansa was great, (to be honest, I thought they were going to have Cersei poison her), but I don't see how Joffrey is indicted by leaving in his fear but she's ok to do it to protect herself from the perceived sack of the city. They cut alot of the battle, though getting Stannis to shore was an nice touch the books didn't include. It didn't make sense that he'd stay out of it. GRRM supposedly wrote this episode and he did a great job. Bronn's "friendship" with Tyrion will hopefully play out very well in upcoming seasons. (I loved when Cersei tries to manipulate somebody into killing him in joust, and he just up and kills him and throws the guy's wife out on her ass) Last but not least, THE RAINS OF CASTERMERE!

Ok I finally caught up with all the episodes so far! That last episode was amazing! They kinda skipped a lot of the sea battle but the rest was epic. Also kinda sad they didn't fight on a bridge of broken ships but I think that would have been tricky to pull off anyway. And Bronn being a rogue saving the Hound's ass and using a knife to kill those 2 guys was amazing. I also liked how Stannis came on shore and was basically the first one on the wall. I'm also upset that the Reeds aren't in the show so far but we shouldn't worry about that www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/06/01/game-of-thrones-season-3-new-characters-revealed/So far I like some of the changes in the show so far. The main thing that I don't like so far is that Riverrun has basically been completely cut out.

Always liked him. And the Reeds, of course. Anyway, I'm still wrapping up final projects and exams and such before I graduate and am consequently way behind. Can't wait to finally catch up and get to the Battle of the Blackwater...
