You can say both Twilight and DA2 is personal to me. So this is why I don't review DA2 at this time. Until I have a BF and I'm cooled down from this anger, I'm staying from reviewing it due to the lack of my objective PoV.
I better go and play something else to wipe that anger away. All tat rage won't do good to my health.

True. Also ganking low level noobs in WoW is good too, but I've lost my account long ago.
So FPS I suppose.

I thought Viscount Dumar was quite a well written/acted/designed character, too. Something about the way pretty much everyone in Kirkwall thought he was useless when he was basically the only thing besides Hawke stopping the Qunari killing everyone.
And the bit where he found his Whunari son's body was quite sad, too.

Yeh, i did feel bad for the guy. Dont know why the arishok decided to play highlander with Dumar though, it wasn't his fault.

I admit I was pretty upset for the old Viscount. He's the only guy in DA2 with some common sense around Kirkwall and the person who doesn't deserve to meet a sticky end... unlike Meredith and Orsino.
And killing his son in the Chantry... Doesn't that spelt out symbolism for the Chantry's fall in their place for society or something? Either way, that's probably one of the only times I don't pick the trolling dialogues. I'm that sincere.

Face it. Meredith scares the shit of everyone in Kirkwall, that Chickens couldn't lay eggs in her presences...

She'd make a freight train take a dirt road... if trains existed in the DA universe. =D

I might have been a bit harsh about the Viscount in my DA 2 rant, but I stand by my contention that he did as little as he could get away with to keep the shit from hitting the fan. He didn't deserve what had happened to him but he was a figurehead with little real power. He wasn't helping so maybe he should have gotten out of the way.

Yeah, but he like a puppet on the string, the puppet user is Meredith of all people. So you can't really blame him. At least he didn't bail out when he gets the chance, so I can cut him some slack a bit.
If we're going to see DA3, I want Varric back!

Not to mention the fact he was the only thing keeping the Kirkwallers and the Qunari from open war, despite actually having no real power and every single person in the city breathing down his neck.
I'm sure we'll see Varric in DA3, though, almost certainly as a party member.

But he had no plan B. His plan A was sending Hawke to deal with him, which depending on how you play his is either smart or madness. Because he can really be a Bunny Ears Lawyer. A solid plan B would have been to at least attempt to contain them to the docks if shit got real. But there is no evidence that there were any significant guard presence with 500 yards of the Qunari compound.
I just have a hard time believing that he did much other than stick his fingers in his ears and scream lalalalalalala I can't hear you at the top of his lungs every time someone brought up how dangerous the Qunari were.

All the more reason he was shit as a ruler. He should have recognized his own uselessness and abdicated. Instead he allowed a whole city to burn. Sorry this does not wash for being an excuse for incompetence at his level. Too many lives rest on your shoulders.
