I chose Jack not because I'm into psycho emo lesbians, but rather just how much she changes. She goes from hate everyone and everything and kill everyone and everything with no emotion whatsoever to someone who is truly hurting inside because she's been betrayed by everyone her entire life. Maleshep changes her completely from tough bitch to scared little girl, and she knows that love does exist. Even if you don't romance her she still changes (paragon choices I mean) because she has finally realized that not everyone is out to get her or stab her in the back.

Tough decision. For me it was between Tali or Kaidan but in the end I picked Tali cause thats who my personal Shepard went with.

I went with Liara. I liked Kaidan's romance but thought it was a little dull. I liked Ashley as a character but... not as a person. Every romance I've seen in Mass Effect 2 seems crap to me. Sorry, Garrus fans. And Liara's romance in ME1 was... meh, fine. But I realy, really like how it goes in 'Lair of the Shadow Broker'. The arguments with her in the car and on the rooftop, the awkward tension throughout the entire quest, the make-up scene in Shepard's quarters, I thought it was masterfully done. That DLC alone counts as my second favourite (CarthCarthCarthCarthCarth) Bioware romance. -- Just as an asde, picking up on something Cali said earlier, I never even considered that Ashley might not be a Christian (or Jewish, but... nah). Her vague 'take a look around' argument certainly does suggest a non-specific view, but 'He's with God now' seemed distinctly Judeo-Christian. EDIT: This has nothing to do with my not liking her as a person, as mentioned above

Every romance I've seen in Mass Effect 2 seems crap to me. Sorry, Garrus fans. I admit, it's was rushed, particularly with Garrus'. Don't get me started with the whole Reach and Flexibility talk. It was kinda corny to the point that this is one of the main reasons why I'm having a bit of a writer's block atm with my fan fic. I'm on the verge to pull an 180 degree to do a fix fic... but a certain beta might not be too happy about it. *wink wink, nudge nudge*. Thinking about it now, isn't the current romances seemed to be rushed and unsubtle in ME2 and DA2? DA2 was too sudden for me for some reason... Nah, forget it. I don't want to start another heated debate about whether DA2 is good or not. Honestly, I'm just happy I can romanced that turian guy. I'm just hoping the romance will improve in ME3. You know... more romantic and steady. I don't know, just don't make it wierd like the Reach and Flexibility talk again.

Ashley's very clearly a Christian. Shepard too, what with all the times Renegade Shepard invokes "Gawd" and all that, and that you can say you believe in God to Ashley.
None of these romances can compare to the brokeness awesomeness that was Atton Rand, though. Gotta give KotOR II props for making it easy to decide which of the not-romance options to pick.

Couldn't agree more on a clearer choices in staying as hetrosexual partners.
Honestly, if there's an Atton Rand Expy in DA2... and I mean the whole thing, not just a half finished effort like Jack Sparrow Expy aka Isabella; This game will be a guilty pleasure of all time for me, instead just another game that I'll uninstall from my PC and forget about it in the next year or so.

Didn't like KOTOR II because if you wanted your Wookie you had to be a evil guy

I killed the Jedi Masters, took over Trayus Academy, mind-tricked those guys to jump off the building and corrupted the handmaiden and dyed her clothes black.
But I did it all for the wookiee.

Couldn't agree more on a clearer choices in staying as hetrosexual partners. What? I don't really understand. I just meant it was pretty easy to decide between romancing the snarky, charming Han Solo rip off with a dark and troubled past (that he doesn't openly wangst over) and romancing the sneering, blonde haired librarian

I picked Liara. For some reason Ashley just rubs me the wrong way even though I have a weakness for tough, strong-willed women. If it were survivable, a dalliance with Morinth could be interesting...

Hey, no nastiness about librarians! Though Disciple was an idiot.

Oh I thought you mean the dialogue choices, sorry about that Glow. I rather go with Atton as well. There's something about the Disciple that bothers me.

Hey, no nastiness about librarians! Though Disciple was an idiot. Oops! Sorry, Johnson. I bet your daily work doesn't involve sitting in a library full of dead bodies with big monsters in the corridor outside, though.

Thank you Buch. I would exalt you, but I had to smite him first.
