For the love of God, don't draw a hot Night Elf female. You'll never get rid of the little bastard after that.

LOL! It's only a figure of speech Jk. I'm sure he'll never shut up about in a *ahem* sort of a way. While he'll stop trolling at my gallery, I'll probably have a new problem that he became a drooling creepy mook.
Besides, the last thing I need is attract angry DA straw feminist, saying how it's 'inappropriate' to post in DA. I like some peace and quiet thank you very much.

That's fine. People always make up stories in pictures. You know how those wierd human sayings that old saying "A picture worth a thousand words"? I'll leave for the viewer to decide on that. As for the problem with the radiation problem for turian women, I think we have a canon answer to that problem. Apprently, they have the same similar skull plating like the male turians do. It's just a stupid over sight with the comic artist. I forgot to mention that everyone needs to take a gain of salt when it comes to artwork in the comics. Let's just say it can derail the canon a slight bit... Also... here's my comparison drawings, including the skull plating. I've realised I've painted canonical wise wrong too in regards to the Combat Medic painting. That's fine I guess, as long the skull plating is actually canon. I hate to see those turian girls getting their brains fried in the ME universe.

I like the walking stick, there. It almost kind of reminds one of those wierd things sticking out of the backs of turians' legs. And with the greyscale drawing, the feet (which I just noiw notices look a bit like roots) and the naturalistic look of this scene, makes them look a bit tree-like. I thought.

Hey, Tillian, I think you made me warm up to the concept of fringeless turians! These are very nice sketches.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you enjoyed them. Treelike eh? Well, to be fair, turians have rough rocky/earthy plating in-game, so they do act sort of naturalistic. The comparison drawings are slightly difficult this time around though, mainly because I was drawing straight onto Photoshop, instead of the usual pencil and paper then scan process. So yeah... the feet and hands are a little too big for my liking but it's a good effort for someone who's trying to co-ordinating with the tablet and screen perfectly first time. And I agree Lieden. Actually after a few sketches, I'm starting like the idea of fringeless turians, it helps that they probably still have a skull plating to cover up themselves from the radiation. Also... I'm starting to feel a little bias/fond of my original turian character. I might write a fanfic about her one day... when I'm finished with ME3. Note: The one of the left is the Dean of the Hierarchy Medical Corps, while the one on the right is an intern. Both are based on a time skip where the events are set in 18 years after the events in ME3. I've added a walking stick to give him a bit of character, Think as the rational version of House M.D. Another thing, I feel quite warm a few days ago after someone mention that my Combat Medic painting reminds him of Mordin Solus, if he was a turian girl. ;D I think BioWare introduces the concept of female turians in a wrong way. The female herself in the comic was not too smashing and her personality was... abrasive at best, who constantly whining about her job. now, if she's like the turian version of Veronica from New Vegas, I think most of fandom would forgive her... Edit: Another picture I'm working on. I probably should do some other serious drawings and paintings, instead of sketching on turians... although they are fun.

To be perfectly fair, perhaps if there are any female turians in ME3 they might have an all-together different design in the finished product.

i don’t know much, but maybe bioware didn’t design the female turian themselves but the people at dark horse comics did, and it was not overseen properly by the bioware team for consistency to match with Garrus' description when his being all sweet to femshep. Its not what i was expecting but im not complexly disappointed in it as a concept, just the lack of consistency

It's always a danger when employing third party artists to expand on your work. You can only micromanage them so far as well. Since word of God has been handed down on the matter one can hope that there will be better consistency moving forward.
Is anyone else far more curious about the Salarian females than the Turians though? Lore has it that they are the ones running the show for the Salarians, you just only see the men because they are a dime a dozen in their culture.

Maybe we'll see female salarians in Mass Effect 3, seeing as how you'll probably have to recruit the species. Then again, they said we'd see female versions of the species in Mass Effect 2.
I wanna see more Elcor/Hanar in ME3. There was one Elcor and one voice recording of a Hanar in the whole of Mass Effect 2. Not exactly what you'd expect from such a massive game.

The mono-gendered species in Mass Effect both baffles and annoys me, especially the turians who have no excuse. I feel like I only understand half of every culture, and it strikes me as a little sexist, the way all women are half-naked perfect beings and all men are warmongering giant lizards of some description.

Agreed. Though it makes sense from a cultural level for the Krogan (fertile females are prized and protected) and the Salarians (females are rare and too very politically important to put in the line of fire) there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for no female Turians or Drell. I left Hanar, Elcor and Volus off the list because...really do we know what gender any of them are?
Those deep Elcor voices for all we know could be high pitched female voices by their standards. Hanar? Um check please? And a Volus could be whatever they wanted to be under those suits.

Nahhh. The volus, hanar and elcor we've met so far have all been male. Those are men's voices! And yeah, the salarians, asari and krogan have good excuses, but they are excuses

You know, I'm sure there was a female turian in Pinnacle Station, guarding the entrance back onto the Normandy. It had a pink face and a vaguely feminine voice.

Of course their voices will come across exactly the same as human voices. How silly of me.
