Return of the Jedi in 2017. That's something to look forward to. Does it really take that long?! Damn. I'm going to be old. But seriously, I just want to see the original versions in cinema. I'm not even sure I remember what the original films pre-DVD look like (I haven't watched VCR for a long, long, long time). No 3D please. I've had enough disappointment for a while, what with the "3D" effects in Harry Potter 7.

To be fair, the Extneded universe like Star Wars: Legacy/ Star Wars: Old Republic and everything else Darkhorse did has done a better job at proper Star Wars stories then George Lucas did with the prequels and that AWFULL Clone Wars series.
Fuck that 3d cutsy bullshit, it's war for god's sake! I dont give a damn about Ahsoka! Need I wave my copy of 'Battle for Jabbiim' to prove my bloody point?!

You don't need to fucking swear so fucking much. I'm in the minority here, in that I actually kind of like the prequels (well, Episode I (Apart from Jar-Jar, of course) and Episode III) I'll actually look forward to seeing Episode 1 again, though.

I just couldn't stand Natalie Portman as Padme. Though, to her credit, I think she and her character were crippled by the average to poor writing in AofC and RotS. For the record, I do like her acting now.

Like Duel of the Fates and the three-way lightsaber battle. And just Liam Neeson's performance in general? I will agree with you though, I'll be most eagerly there in 2015 for The Empire Strikes Back. I always wanted to see the original trilogy in the cinema.

Liam Neeson was the only good thing in that film. But check Redlettermedia's review on it if you want a compelte list why it sucks

I'll admit though, I'm pretty impressionable when it comes to these kinds of things (One of the reasons I don't like Fallout 3 as much as New Vegas is that I had a noseache while I was playing the former) and I was on a pretty good holiday when I saw Episode I...

Sam barely did anything! He only got his pimp lightsabre in the second one.

*Buch spots an opportunity to give people his opinion of The Phantom Menace, narrows eyes, lunges.*
I'll agree with both arguments here. The Phantom Menace is a below-mediocre film (before you say it's awul, compare it to similar space operas - it's not that bad), but a big, crushing disappointment to the Star Wars Trilogy (i.e. the original 3 films).
There are some atrocious moments (Jar Jar) and some horribly amateurish mistakes made, and I think it is a very poor 'fit' with the classic movies, in terms of plot. tone, style and quality. Everything RedLetterMedia's (exemplary) review says is completely true.
However as Glow said - there are some WONDERFUL moments in that movie. I haven't watched the thing 8 times or whatever just because I loathe it - which I do. There has to be a reason it did so well, besides the toys, kid-audiences and SW nostalgia.
There is a bit where this guy all dressed in black approaches the Jedi - he gets his lightsaber out to challenge them and there ARE TWO LIGHTSABERS. Like he's a monk with a fighting staff, except instead of a staff IT'S TWO LIGHTSABERS DUDE. I can barely describe how cool that is. The fight itself is kind of crap and the guy is all painted red with horns, which looks silly, but the moment alone is thrilling. And he has an unbelievably good theme tune.

Does Darth Maul even have a line? The visuals were impressive and the sound as well. But the acting from all involved was beyond horrid. I blame George Lucas.

In case you think George needs more milk money. Maul didn't say much, which made him a bad ass. in the extended universe he took out the Black Sun. The Black Sun of all things!

Darth Maul says, "As you wish, my master" to Sideous once and then.... that's it. Poor, badass character never got any lines
