That's Nien Nub... or something... Tien... something like that. He's a puppet, anyway!
No this is the singing cartoon character. She's completely and utterly out of place.
That just happenned. In the middle of Return of the Jedi - THAT just happenned. It's like a brilliant short film symbolising Lucas' descent into madness. I reckon that's a thousand times worse than Greedo shooting first. And yes, it's called 'Jedi Rocks'... And what's more, the original song this replaces was brilliant! Why replace it?
Now that's catchy! It's a decent song, it sounds Huttese, it's not sung by ludecrous cartoon characters, and it's mostly background music. And none of the goddamned characters look directly into the god-damned camera.
The character's name is Sy Snootles, incidentally. For Christ's sake.

OK I remember now. I only saw the remastered edition once so it didn't stick in my memory. I do like your bit about it being like a short film symbolizing Lucas' loss of sanity.
It's kind of like a CGI alien representation of Brittany Spears or something. Someone should tell him what the word "classic" means.

You just can't tell it was added in 25 years later, can you? The wonders of special effects...

Personally, now that I think about it, the part I hated more than that musical bit was the Mos Eisley scene in "A New Hope." It's so out of place, wedged between two of the best scenes in the movie. Everything's CG, the environment looks completely silly, and you have comic relief going on in the background.

I hate how they took out the beer-drinking werewolf from the Cantina scene They replaced him with some kind of smoking dinosaur.

I'm pretty excited that they're going to be out in theatres again! It's my chance to see them in cinemas (as I only saw RotS and AotC that way, and the latter is the only one I'd consider not going to see again). It is kindof amazing that they're slaking them to end in 2017, though! It's strange to think of the company thinking that far ahead, and the fandom persisting. On the other hand, that'll be sure to rake in a whole new crop of fans who are too young now. o.O

Ok, since I can't remember where I brought up General Akbar possibly being Ole Miss' mascot, I'm just going to put this bit of info here: ESPN says Ole Miss officially picked uh, "Rebel Bear" (or "Rebel Black Bear"-- I saw this at the Mexican restaurant where I was picking up lunch) as their mascot, and not the old general. Pity.
On the plus side, if RISD's trustees ever get around to forcing the school to change their mascot name maybe they'll use that instead. "What is RISD's mascot?" you ask. Let me put it to you this way: their hockey team's name are the Nads. I'll let you work out the rest (or actually look it up if you dare).

How in the seven curses of Beelzebub did that get past the "league of busybody prudes for the protection of children's innocence?"I don't know if that is sick and horrific or just plain horrific.

This was back in the '70s, and the students simply suggested "Nads". The trustees, being an old fuddy bunch just didn't realize what they were agreeing to (since the word was apparently new to them).
The mascot isn't "official" by any stretch of the imagination, BTW.
Being a former New Englander, I just laugh at the team name (but cringe at the mascot).

But George Lucas likes money. This makes the rumor truth/fact. xD

Oh I sincerely hope the rumours are false. I think Star Wars has gone on too long, now. There's trilogies, there's sagas, and then there's ugly franchises.

I guess a director who's worked with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg a number of times (Joe Johnson) is trying to pitch Lucas an idea for a movie about Boba Fett. =D www.aintitcool.com/node/50428
