An extra awwwwwwwwww for how the light shown in the eyes making them this sky blue. I can't believe some people, the one who dumped this adorable fuzzball.

Neither could the vet. She basically said that whoever dumped her deserved to be left outside to die of exposure (and she's not one to normally talk like that). I didn't disagree.

Ordinarily, I work with no-kill shelters and breed rescue groups to help get critters placed. This pup, however, will walk through a crowd of people just to sit at my feet, and her first night here she just lay in my arms on the couch with her head buried in my sweatshirt, so I think she picked me. Either way. I am keeping this one. Mischief and her have their brief arguments (usually over who eats who's food), but he seems to understand that she is one of the family now and doesn't really mind. I have, however, promised that there will be no more dogs (I'll continue to help the no-kills, but I cannot take in another dog except as a short-term foster), and I am definitely not taking in more horses.

Walking into a restaurant, seeing around fifteen people in the lobby and fearing there will be an hour long wait...
...and then hearing somebody say "Jackson, party of twelve".
YEEEEEES

She is definitely feeling better. She just played non-stop for an hour with the corgi (who, much to my surprise, really enjoyed himself). He knocked her into a trash barrel and she jumped right up and went after his tail-less butt without missing a beat. They're both resting under my computer chair now. The only downside is... the two of them combined only weigh about 29 pounds. You'd never know it from the footsteps alone, though. The way they go flying through the house, it sounds like I have a herd of pygmy elephants running loose! It's a good problem to have.

The problem will be when she's huge and he's well... still a corgi.
And Oooooooohhh (Aww was taken)

Very cute!! On a similar note, my second dog was a dumped stray as well. We found Harry on the side of the road about this time last year, emaciated and riddled with fleas. He just came up to the car, waited for the door to open and jumped in! He had an old leather collar but no tag of any kind, and he wasn't 'chipped' (a micro-chip implanted under the skin, very common here now). We took him in, fed and washed him, then tried our darndest to find his owner. We gave up after a month and after he decided he liked it just fine where he was. He's family now. Without further ado, here's the little bugger (Harry btw, is a homage to Harry Houdini, because this little guy could escape from an airtight cell if he wanted to!):

Is he an older spaniel? Looks like it from here. Either way, he's a cute boy!

I had a cocker spaniel once, too (I'm assuming yours is, too - or related!). Lina was the sweetest, craziest thing. Never got a dog after her again.
