Yeah. I guess we just have to chalk it down to dev laziness and cinematic need, like you said jklinders. It's still a bit odd, though, considering how much effort and time was put into so many other aspects of the game. Why let this tidbit go? *shrugs*

I was being a tad harsh. probably time and money. I truly do not believe that EA is telling Bioware what to do, but they are likely setting very hard timelines and cracking the whip to get their investments back. Tough compromise to make when you give up independence in favor of getting easy dev money. The arrangement works as long as you can keep up the pace. Burnout can and will happen and I think we are seeing it in bits and pieces.
