I probably should have figured this one out by now, but...
You know when you walk over an ammo clip and it just makes a beeping noise? What does that mean?

It means you can't carry any more "ammo". I wish that retcon would just roll over and die.

Ahhhhhhh thank you. I can't believe I didn't figure that out.

I'm going to hijack your thread with a vaguely related ammo question.
Ammo for the collector particle beam. Where does one get it? It doesn't seem to "drop" with normal ammo.

I don't think you can pick up ammo for heavy weapons unless its in a ammo box thing.

I never used the collector weapon. >_>
It should drop in the "Power module" boxes like other heavy weapon ammo, though.

HW weapon ammo only drops in the final battle, and only Harbinger drops it.
Particle beam is good for big collectors and twitchy bosses (like gunships)
And never underestimate your ammo powers.

"HW weapon ammo only drops in the final battle, and only Harbinger drops it." Ah, that makes sense. Thanks!

Yeah I think except for the end bit - all heavy weapons are recharged to same way - boxes of 'power cells'. How 'power cells' replenish your rockets or grenades is anyone's guess!

[bs]The minifacturing modal in the weapon creates a projectile and readys it in the chamber. The power cells are needed to recharge the minifacturing modal.[/bs] Or something. They leave plot holes out of the codex (like ammo clips)

A wizard does it. He eats the cells. Pressly was a chronomancer. Just before he died he went back in time and killed the guy who invented self-cooling weapons and hid a bunch of power cell crates in extremely convenient locations around the galaxy. And now he live in your heavy weapons. Remember his sacrifice the next time you nuke the giant California governor.

I missed that bald guy, always does most of the boring shit for me back on the old Normandy, while it gives me the time to chat with Ashley about poems and guns. Lest we forget, Pressly.

That was way better than mine, in fact that should be the canon explanation. It makes far more sense.

That makes so much sense. He obviously foresaw everything that was to come and wanted out, but wasn't going to leave Shepard entirely in the lurch.
LOL What else would anyone of taste talk about?
