The cons defiantly outweigh the pros in Too Human. And some of the enemys are just evil, like the drow (those spider things) and the floaty guys. And the rocket guys, I hate them with a passion. Red Faction: Guerrilla is pretty fun. Something about destroying a building with a hammer is just satisfying. Last mission is a clusterfuck though. And its way too short. If they take the building destructability from that game and combine it with Merc 2's air strikes/vehicles/weapons I'd never need to buy another game. In fact, they should merge Just Cause, Red Faction Guerrilla, and Mercs 2 to make the best third person open world game ever. Viking is pretty good to if you can find it cheep. Kind of reminds me of Dynasty Warriors but with dragons and (spoiler) vikings. Wouldn't pay more then $10 for it though as its pretty repetitive. Have to do a bunch of Assassin's Creed style side missions to get to the big battles. And the combat is just unforgiving. You lose your combo and you'll probably die. Saw Saint's Row 2 at gamestop for $20 too. I assume its a lot like Saints Row 1. So I guess you could call it GTA:SA3. Not bad if you can look past the childish misuse of profanity. also I was trying to find a positive element with the game but I've end it up getting pissed off. Um, the combat controls are unique, and sort of fun when you get the hang of it? I didn't mean for that to sound as rude as it did. It was supposed to look like I was trying to think of something positive. So much is lost in text.

It's alright, it's hard to express stuff on the web properly since you can't hear voice inflections through via text. Anyways, that's the exact problem I had with Too Human. I don't mind sliding through a bunch of enemies and hacking them down like there's no tomorow, it's kinda fun actually but the drows and the flying fat guys crashed into my fun night and ruin it. The game itself could use a decent play testing session, since these mobs could use a little tweaking to make it more fair and balanced. As for the rocket guys, if it weren't for the camera problems that plague the game from time to time, I would have tolerated a little bit.
I was thinking about getting Saints Row 2, I've heard about it from my friend, said it was alright. As for the childish misuse of profanity, I think the developers are intentionally doing a refuge in audacity at the time, so I can look pass it.
I've think I've mention before somewhere but as I've said, I've brought Arcanum for $20 aus at EB the other day, it was a good deal. I haven't install it yet but I'm going to since I'm pretty excited at the fact I'm playing an RPG that sets in Steampunk setting.
Although... I'm a little disappointed during this year bargain hunting seasons, I can't find Vampire: Bloodlines at EB, it was probably made by the same guys who did Arcanum.

Arcanum, as in Arcanum of steam works and magic i think was the title? I wanted that game so bad when it came out, but I could never find it.
I had Bloodlines. Never got around to beating it. Guess I didn't really understand it. Lost one of the discs. I liked the music but I got the feeling that there was some subtext I just didn't get. Didn't some kid kill a bunch of people after playing that LARP Vampire Masquerade which this game is loosely based of?

Yep, it is "Arcanum of steamworks and magic". To be fair, I had to dig out from the rest of the bargain bin piles before I've came across this game. Those games are included along the lines of "Catz" and "Imagine: fashion making" PC titles... yeah. Also if it weren't for the mid year sales, this game would normally cost $40 aus.
As for the story of the kid who killed a bunch of people after a LARP Vampire: Masquerade session, I think I've heard of it while I was browsing TV Tropes, but I haven't actually run into solid news... yet. Most of the negative news when it comes to gaming nowdays is based on WoW. I think WoW got more attention due to the popularity.

I recently played the Crackdown 2 demo... reminds me a lot of Saints Row 2. The graphics are pretty much the same, and the cars handle the same too. There's also a kinda weird announcer person that contradicts himself all the time. The random terrorists and zombies are like the pimps that respawn every 2 seconds. My agent was overrun by terrorist cars at one point. As I killed one, another would turn up with more terrorists or would just run me over. The clumsy gunplay didn't really help with getting rid of 'em. Before shooting, you have to wait for a lock on, otherwise you'd pretty much miss every shot. There's no point of blind firing either, except against zombies. I've never played the first Crackdown, but many people are saying it's much better than 2.

All I'm playing at the moment is a bunch of Xbox Live 'Indie games' - 80 gamerpoints each, odd little games by random people. Some of them are pretty good! I highly recommend 'Molly the Were-Zompire' which is an old fashioned text game... more like a 'choose your own adventure' book really. Very funny, either way.

I'm trying to get MASQ working again but so far my broswer and the plugin is fricken stubborn. From I have know so far about the game is an indie click and point adventure game with heavy narrative, with a lot of tree branching dialogue and such, and lots of adult theme context that questions of relationships. I would love to explain it more in a clearer way but so far it refused to work for me.

I'm starting my second ME2 playthrough. I want to see if I can save everybody (and stay loyal to Liara ;D) without resorting to spoilers or the wiki. Knowing my luck, I'll end up with a party wipe.

I got L4D2. It's actually quite fun, especially playing as Infected in Versus

Thief III: Deadly Shadows which I bought off of steam.
It's pretty good. It has the worst free roaming mechanic I've ever seen in a video game, but I'm still enjoying the missions as well as the story. I'm both looking forward and dreading the infamous "Cradle" mission.

Playing ME2 again to finish off. I'm laughing my ass off at that time, when I've brought Legion to the quarian fortilla while doing's Tali's quest. Man... what a bunch of hypocrites!

Finally got Red Dead Redemption. This game is really, really good. And I don't even like westerns.

Yeah, it is a bit "offensive" in quarian terms when bringing Legion to the fortilla but at the time I was playing as a paragon Shepard. So at best she's really ignorant and at worse... having a bimbo moment there. Ah... RP moments.
Would be nice if the quarians did fix that hole for Legion... but unsurprisingly, they are disinclined to do that. Can't blame them really but still...
Also, it get's a little... heated at the beginning when I've brought my robot buddy. Here's an exempt from the quest:
INTERIOR: QUARIAN FORTILLA
(Legion is marching in proudly while Tali and Shepard walks behind him)
TALI: Shepard, I don't think it's a good idea to bring him in.
SHEPARD: Relax, Tali. I'm sure everything is going to be fine...
(Everyone is stunned when a bunch of quarian guards pointed their assault rifles at them.)
Best part about this? When Admiral something vas Qwip Qwip, the geth sympathiser saw Legion. Guess what his reaction is?
MR. QWIP QWIP: Security! There's a geth on the ship! Get it out, now!
Edit: Nice, you got Red Dead Remption too. I'll check EB tomorow to see if they generous enough to bring the price down a little.

I'll check EB tomorow to see if they generous enough to bring the price down a little. That whole scenario is basically idiotic. The only reason why in game you would bring Legion on board the quarian ship is because you know the game designers would have allowed for it. The dialogue is just ludicrous. Most paragon Sheps would avoid out of respect for the quarians. Most renegade Sheps would avoid because he/she would not want to be shot by a possible ally to exploit over something who to take with you. The people who actually roleplay renegade have an appreciation for the "get it done at all costs:" mind set. The dialogue gets even more stupid if you take legion on board the Citedel and talk to the customs officer abou the security measures against the geth...with legion scratching his...nose? right behind you. No as a matter of roleplay and pretending the Bioware writers are not being condescending towards me with grade school humor I'll just avoid those scenarios
