Did anyone here get Overlord? I think it's the best ME2 DLC so far, and is definitely worth 560MP. I expected it to be just like Firewalker only with different levels. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be totally (well mostly) different. All the action takes places on a planet called Aite. There is a central area to explore, with absolutely amazing scenery and some data packages to pick up (a throw back at the mako ). This area leads to several bases where you undertake the missions. The story and the build up were awesome, with creepier and tenser atmospheres and bases as you progress, and with a very sad heart-wrenching twist (and choice) at the end. I'd say it rivals ME1's moments. The soundtrack was also one of the best in the game, but there was a total lack of squad banter and the Hammerhead remains the happy counterpart of cardboard.

I'm tempted to buy this as well, even more so now. I just finished my first play through of ME2 and I'm on a bit of a high, ready to play it again. ;D I have the Firewalker DLC but ended up not playing it as I couldn't finish the first level. The camera wouldn't work and I couldn't collect the research at each point because of it. I don't know if I was doing something wrong...

Oh man I forgot it came out.
Well I was thinking about skipping it but if it's worth the 560 then might as well get it ;D
I don't care if I feed the Bioware DLC warmachine as long as it's good DLC.

Yeah, reviews like this are encouraging. More ME goodness on the way for me. :-)

Right now I'm a little pissed off with BioWare. Why? This DLC forced me to get into sincerity mode, especially with the ending. I was planing to do a Let's Play, showing off what the DLC has to offer along with with my usual sarcasm approach, but the storytelling and the tense atmosphere were pretty good.
Actually to be honest, it's a good DLC, it threw me off balance as I've progress through the mission. The lighting scheme within the stations are well presented, giving a creepy, horror vibe to it. Especially the Vulcan and the Prometheus station, the dim lighting and the lifeless atmosphere reminds me of a few levels within Fallout 3 but this is better imo. Sure I have Garrus and Katsumi behind my back but still, I've jumped a few times when shit is about to hit the ceiling. It didn't helped with the lack of banter between my squadmates. It would help to ease the tension a bit.
Speaking of easing the tension, that reminds me. The elevator music and the elevator load out made another appearace, except with a evil twist to it, I won't reveal it anymore due to leaning towards the spoiler territory but let's just say I think BioWare was cruelly jabbing at us with those complaints.
Like N7 said before, I'm quite disappointed with the lack of banter but overall, the best DLC so far. The price for the DLC was worth it. Too bad Mr. Buch won't be getting it since he's kinda gives up downloading DLCs from what I've last heard of him.
I'm still deciding if I should finish off that Let's play thing. I got the pictures, I need to add captions and stuff, but my my sarcasm mode chickened out after few minutes into it. So yeah, good job for DLCs, looking forward to another DLC that was good as this.

Those are some good reviews.... after Pinnacle Station and Darkspawn Chronicles and the rest, I'm surprised! Till I was hoping it'd be a video Let's Play! Videoooooooo. Too bad Mr. Buch won't be getting it since he's kinda gives up downloading DLCs from what I've last heard of him. Sadly I'm dead broke at the moment. Otherwise I might be tempted after these reviews. Getting it would mean getting the Cerberus Club membership and the Firewalker thing too. And - yeah. I am sick of Bioware DLC. My hard drive is just crammed with it now. I wish they would just stop for a bit - can't believe I'm saying that. But lately Bioware have something out every week. I miss the days when Bioware would release a game every couple of years - and it was never what you wanted or expected, but you fell in love with the game anyway, every time, and spent the next two years playing it over and over.

Buch, I can't do vids atm since my computer seem to begged me for a bigger Hard drive... besides, I'm not good with vids, I'm better at written let's plays.
Also speaking of BioWare games in the old days... you would absolutely hate NWN1 the original campaign... the story is god awful and you will get irritated by some of the Characters... particularly with Aribeth. Let's just say she's a useless Paladin and... no indoor voice with impractical armour.

I hated the single player NWN campaigns too. NWN really came into it's own with multi-player. Some of the Permanent Worlds out there (still) are absolutely amazing in their depth, quality of the players and DM's. I still player regularly on one particular PW that I've been frequenting since early 2006, and it's going from strength to strength with a strong DM and playerbase. I don't know if you guys are into such things, but if you are, here's the link: www.escapefromunderdark.com

I've heard about it, but I've got into it at the time since I was using dial-up connections at the time.
The expansions are ok and the user made campaigns are really good. I'm still intending to re-install NWN1 into my fairly recently PC so I can try out "Dances with the rogues" mod and finish off that other mod called "Mage's Tale"

You don't need Cerberus Net to play Overlord. I was surprised when it just gave me the Hammerhead without me having to do Firewalker.

Once you get NWN1 installed and patched, you should take a look at EfU. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

All right then, if I can justify it to my bank manager, I'll download it later today! ... Also - Till - videoooooo! I dunno, I think it's in your destiny to do video let's plays.

Planning to play it on a fresh game. Heard good things about the paragon interrupts concerning Archer. When I play through it I may be moved to give a detailed opinion.

I just got done playing Overlord (so spoilers ahead!).
Am I the only one who didn't like it? I seem to be so grouchy these days... but I didn't much care for this. Not that I thought it was terrible, but I was bored for a long time, infuriated by the giant Death Star laser, and finally underwhelmed by the story and the moral choice. It was cool to see Shepard telling Teyrn Loghain off and slapping him around.
But (in Morbo voice) - AUTISM DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!!! I think that's what got me all angry at it, to be fair: the silly Rain Man stereotype.
