a Norwegian article on a game site has leaked details of a possible downloadable party member for Mass Effect 2, He'll be available on the day of release, and according to Chris Priestly, is free, probably to those who buy the game first hand, like Shale in DA:O Oops, wrong picture. The original article has been deleted, so heres what the wiki says about him: Zaeed Messani is a character featured in DLC in Mass Effect 2. Considered the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, he has been hired by Cerberus to help Commander Shepard. He is an old man, equipped like a gladiator. His face is covered in scars.

For some reason I always wanted an older, world weary, Eastwood like human party member in a Mass Effect game. Hopefully this guy will fill those shoes.
Good find, Glow! Additional karma point for you!

So since I preordered the Collectors Edition I'll be able to get him right?

I upped you one karma point, then removed it for that... FIRST... photograph...
This sounds great. He's easily the oldest man in the Mass Effect universe! But he looks like a good character. I am really looking forward to this.

This may or may not be true, but someone on the forum said he is british as well.

If he's playing as the "Big Guy" role, then my Shepard will welcome him with open arms immediately.
Let's hope he's cool as Shale. I love my crew members who have interesting personalities.

This guy (Canderous?) really does look super-cool. I definitely want this guy on my squad.

There's been another DLC squad member announced: Kasumi, a human female thief. Her expansion, called Kasumi's stolen memory, should be released on April 6th. Sadly, this is the end of the free DLC ride we've been enjoying, as Bioware are currently working out a price for her. Her loyalty mission sounds cool as well, it involves disguises! Like Zaeed, though you can't talk to her on the ship like you could with Garrus or Miranda. www.joystiq.com/2010/03/11/mass-effect-2-dlc-kasumis-stolen-memory-lands-on-apr-6-don/Also, on a side note, Mass Effect 2 is now the best selling January game release ever, with 572,000 units sold.

She looks as if she sports a lightsaber.
As for the price, I have plenty of gamerpoints. Like, I've never actually spent any gamerpoints on DLC that costs something, so yeah.

She looks as if she sports a lightsaber. Or a hidden blade under her wrist. I bet her and Thane will have a lot to talk about. I'm just saying I expect more from BioWare then this. If it was any other company I would have expected it. I geuss they're biow Er A now.

I agree their vowels are standing out a little to hard.
Also, what is the point of an additional character now? I'm already on my third play through... and while I am on a little bit of a grouch what the fuck were those achievements about?! I got all but one on a single playthrough. Not trying!
Wish they had brought on a demolition expert instead of a cheesy thief. We already got Mr creepy generic personality Thane "the bullet proof monk" Krios. I would have glittered like a Twitard if I got the chance to tell someone to blow shit up.
Demona the Demolition expert: "Throwing TNT!" Garrus: "Scratch.... 20." Shepard: "Have my babies Demona!"

I'm not going to judge it till it comes out. If the DLC mission is good for the price, I'll consider it otherwise, I'm not going to bitch about it if I've decided not to buy it.
The Liara DLC on the other hand... yeah I'll definitely pay for it.

Some more details about Kasumi have been released: kotaku.com/5492103/mass-effect-2-dlc-adds-90-minutes-more-earth-teasesI have my doubts about why Shepard actually needs a thief for an assault on a space station, but Kasumi Goto's recruitment/loyalty mission does sound pretty cool, it apparently features Michaelangelo's David and Shepard schmoozing at a fancy party. Kasumi will also come in handy on the mission (she can be sent into the pipeline.) An in-game image of Darth Kasumi:

How many bloody characters do we need..... -
Kasumi sounds interesting enough. However, she DOES look a LOT like either the new Assassin's Creed protagonist, or Luminara Unduli, or a standard dark Jedi.
'Kasumi' is a Japanese name, isn't it? I think... If so, she'll be Shepard's first Asian partymember.
I would also like to point out that sucessful thieves don't dress entirely in black, with enormous, suspiscious hoods covering every part of their face except their distinctive lip tattoos and glowing eyes.

I'm sorry but the first thing it pops up in my head when the word Katsumi is mention, it's "Katsumi Ninja. -_-
I'm still reconcidering with the DLC since the mission is interesting, a James Bond esque mission sounds alright... as long my Shepard didn't get snoged....
