I agree entirely, Buch. I hate any kind of homophobic slur, and "thats so gay" definitely has its roots in homophobia.
A bunch of my friends use the term "fag" with wild abandon, and it really pisses me off. There's no place for it in modern society - I find it particularly insulting that they use it so freely in my presence, when all of them know I'm gay. Even if it is casual and meaningless, its still not right.

Yeah I hear that with the nasty slurs like 'gay' and 'fag'. Even worse that some low life WoW player scum use as a typical insult to other players and they use it with reckless abandon, even in the middle of the official WoW forums.
Seriously, have they thought how it felt to be insult if someone called out with some nasty slur? That's one of the main reasons why I've refrain myself from using slurs, even the word 'black' when describing a african decent person.
I hate that.

I've got a new one - its a specific person this time.
This guy was supposed to be moving in with me and two others for our second year in Uni. At the last miinute, he starts bitching about the money, then pulls out.
Thats one thing.
The real goddam insult is that he's leaving us in favour of moving in with the girl I'm seeing - when he knows exactly what she is to me. Fucking bastard.

Why don't you move in with your lady friend then?
back to the point about slurs. The more you get angry at them and take offence the more they are winning. Don't get insulted. State your case and go. Taking it on board will do nothing but hurt yourself in the end, especially for the people who only understand it as a taught behviour from childhood and have no problem. It's just attacking the innocent bistanders of society. You can raise awareness but other than that you'll find yourself in the wrong if you push to hard.
And for peeving. Ealing Council is on my list. They called me at 9am yesterday when I was planning on a nice lay in as my meets were moved back until 12 and proceed to shout at me about how I was a supid ignorant bastard and that there is no such thing as a Student Tution Fee Loan... What form fo fuckery have they been hiring at the Student Finance department this time? I ende dup having to call Student Finance England to get them to call my council and explain to their staff what there job was.
I got a call about an hour later, not apologizing for all the shouting that women did at me over the phone, but merely stating she's sorting it out now and I won't have to pay back a loan I was granted that in her mind didn't even exist an hour ago.

Sorry to hear that Till...
Pet hate: Cinema prices, and movie remakes.
You should remake the BAD movies, not the good ones. And don't charge me so much for a coke, also. Come on.

Man, what Activision do to get your beef with them Cali?
I know Korick is a bit of a dick, both personality and intelligence but you seem to have a heavy vendetta in the late.
My personal pet hate? Dennis Dyack's arguement about storytelling being more important than gameplay when it comes to game elements. I know I'm ranting my ass off about a game developer ironically but let's just put this in my perspective.
You're studying Game Design in Uni for like 4 fucking years, so that means you have a decent grasp of the basic elements of game design at the very least. So when some developer who madea bold statement that rubs you the wrong way due to your harden years in valuing your own principles in game design, you feel compel to start a fricken long heated arguement at the Games Developer Conferance with him. And it didn't helped the fact that game he made was the same game you played and hated with a passion.
To make the long story short, if a game that doesn't have some sort of imersion feel to it, as in gameplay, it's a fricken movie. I just wish developers like him just stop at pushing games to the cinematic/movie route and start looking at games as a speciallise interactive media. Seriously, just ignore the accademic naysayers about games are not ligitmate art and just go with the flow. The ligitamate acception will come in naturally, eventually.

I don't know who any of those people in the pictures are!
I would also like to point out that yesterday I saw the Mel Gibson movie 'Payback' - and it was pretty good.

Justin Lee Collins. I'm surprised I haven't mentioned this smug, charisma-less, pathetic gimp. I hate the way he talks, the way he looks, and every pointless, desperate TV show he's ever made. He's such a despicable, habitual liar that when he's on camera he can't make a single believable facial expression. Every time you see him, you KNOW he is lying about his emotions, because he's doing it poorly. And look at him here with Chris Moyles, who is even worse.

I don't get grumpy moods as I've used to but there's one thing that get's me under my skin real fast in the late.
The WRPG vs JRPG between fanbrats.
I know I'm going to get my ass kicked here, but I do wish people would stop acting so snobby with one way or the other. I know I'm sounding hypocritical at times with JRPGs but to be honest, I do like JRPGs occasionally if well made, like Secret of mana and recently, Pokemon Heartgold. The problem is the arguements got heated due to the recent release of FF13. You can't critised FF13 without being accused of at the very least a JRPG hater or at worse, insulting certain games or developers (Looks at the ME2 copy) on a bias level without some solid grounds of arguements. All I just want to be bluntly honest enough that it's a very flawed game within the basic game design standards.
I hate to side BioWare but there's a saying. "You can't call a fruit an apple if it's a banana." RPG originate from traditional table top RPGs like D&D. I can see why certain developers are conflicted with the meaning of RPG, but I just hate how the wapanese fans were nailing people who voicing their own opinions and questions about the JRPG genre and their arguements like how their opinions are absolute and we should shut up about it.
Also to the otherside, why hating JRPGs becoming a hate fad? Both WRPGs and JRPGs have good and bad elements in gaming. I've prefer to play Chrono Trigger over NWN2 original campaign. In the end, does it really matter if it's a JRPG or a WRPG as long it's fun as a real game?
Arguements like this, kinda reminds me why, I'm quite cynical with the games industry at times. Have a lot to say about the arguement but the point is that I've wished people would stop being so damn narrow minded and look at both genres bluntly, be bloody honest to themselves if it's a good fun game or not. Or at least agree to a disagree and leave at that, not go and throwing vulgur insualts and other stuff that is not helping arguing their case.
Sorry for venting.

Ditto on Chris Moyles and Justin Lee Collins, where's Hancock, with his head/ass shoving ability when you need him?
I'm not too familiar with J-RPGs myself, I've only played a couple, Dark Cloud, which was okay/pretty good from what I remember of it, though I was only eleven when it came out and Kindom Hearts, which ate, in my opinion, there wasn't even a Toy Story level. I guess the reason I don't understand them is that, from what I remember, you don't really play the role, as you do with the Warden, or Shepard, you just control that character through the linear events of the game, as you do in a lot of non-rpgs. I'm no expert though. of course.
On, the subject of games. I hate the amount of fanservice in them. It's just childish, immature, and doesn't lend itself well to the argument that games can be a form of art. One of the things that annoys me most is that BioWare themselves, with their deep storylines and "mature themes", do it with wild abandon.
Mass Effect 2 for example, When you have Miranda, a character in a position that would require people's respect, wearing a skin tight latex bodysuit, and HEELS in combat, have you seen how rocky places like the collector base are? And Jack, with her weird belt outfit, what makes it especially jarring is that she is wearing it in prison, and you see about half a dozen prisoners wearing modest overalls on the way in. It defies logic.

What can I say? Sex sells.
Though I have to say that with her full body tattoos I fell that Jack looks more clothed than Miranda in her full body latex WTF suit. Possibly because the loose cargo pants actually leave something to the imagination, whereas Miranda's outfit does not.
