Pet hates, eh? I'll give you one: Threads like this.
Why do we have to be so negative and talk about things we hate? There's so much good going on in the world, do people really fail to notice it? There's no denying that a horrible experience can flatten a man/woman's positive view on the world, but the least one can do is (get ready) look on the bright side of life.

If you ask me, Thomas Haden Church should play the green lantern. He's easily the manliest and most serious looking young male actor nowadays.
I get the feeling they cast that dude into the role is because they thought mainstream audiences never took the Green Lantern seriously. He frequently is mentioned by people I know as the "lamest superhero ever". I admit, I've never read the comics so I hold no formal opinion.

I do agree we shouldn't be too negative in your PoV of the world. however this thread is used as on outlet for all the things that tend to bring us down. (A punching bag of some sort if you want to call that.) Also it's bad to bottle up the negative emotions and the results gets ugly if one's hold in their bad emotions for too long, so this is the thread that not only to express our frustrations but also it's place where anyone can comfort at the person who has a fustrated moment. Well, we should try to look on the bright side of life but at the same time try not to bottle up that negative emotions. Instead talk or rant onto someone about it. (Like this thread.)

Here's a good ME related one: GAME, the only UK seller with the Collector's edition of Mass Effect 2, sold out or stopped selling them on the very day I planned to preorder it. So now I'm stuck with the ugly covered version featuring ugly John Shepard, Australia's answer to The Joker, and "The gent in the vent"
The only upside is that the regular version is slightly cheaper, but still,
STUPID MACHINE!

Mr Glow is among this country's most under-rated comic talents.

My hate (because, really, these days I only post here to use this place as my blog. Trolling my own site. Huh.) today is people.
Specifically, people who flirt, dance with you at clubs and kiss strangers, but who are actually in a relationship. It's teasing, and its not fair.

People in relationships who kiss other people do not deserve to be danced with.
That's what I think anyway. But it's definitely not fair.

Pet hates? Well, let's see... my own lazyness that keeps my WoT fic just hanging there are 107,000 words since last september, or keeps me staring blankly at my Terminator/nuV fic... George R.R. Martin, 'cause he's an even lazier fuck than me (though he makes more money, damn him) and I have ADWD pre-ordered since 2007. Work. Since I have to work on saturdays, I really don't have a weekend worth being called one. That, and a handful of other things...

Well, GRRM pretty much just has to sit there and let people buy the rights to his novels. I think that just proves that with a beard like his, one can do anything.

And then he's like Thor, except instead of fighting the Midgard Serpent, he leaves to go watch his tv show get made. xD

I haven't done any pet hates in some time!
1) Davina McCall, because everything she says and does is a lie designed to make crowds like her.
2) The common cold. I am all stuck at home here, sleepy and at that stage when your nose is blocked, and yet still runny.
3) And finally, my ridiculously infection-prone body. I really am one step away from being a quarian. I just got rid of a painful gum problem, only to get what may be tonsilitis.... again. I get this all the time - alternating with my old leg infection.
