I've never seen this either, but... yeah! That's actually pretty awesome! Spectacul-urr Spidamaan! I like this!
Don't like the lazy art style though.
Here is my very favourite - well this and Duck Tales.
Working overtime! Fighting crime! ........... Fighting crime!
I love that bit. It's like the guy has run out of rhymes.

Command doesn't start with a K!
Personally, I love the opening to House for some reason. I'll say up just to hear the song and watch the intro sometimes, lol.

This will surprise no-one, but check it out, man. Check it out.
And here's another. I am being completely serious here - this song kicks ass.
Never have pianos and drums been so heavily and magnificently struck.
Also - Mitch Buchannon! He's my uncle, you know.

I Love Tear drop by Massive Attack. I saw them do a live version of it with different instruments years ago. It was amazing. lol I remember the time when every TV show/movie was using that song then they all stopped and House MD picked it up at the tail end of its popularity. Its in there as one of the songs of my high school years all nostalgic.
You all know when we're old and at the home someone will breakout into this song along with Firestarter and Shut your fucking face uncle fucker....
Doesn't the japanese version give such a different feel!
This is the only intro to a cartoon I can sing without forgetting a word. I do believe that is a super power as nobody seems to know this show but me. lol
When I was like 6 I had a crush on Bucky LMAO

Damn, those brought back memories. Poke'mon was the greatest for so long. The video games are some of my favorites, and even the card game based on it was so addicting for the longest time.
Digimon was awesome, too. My sister, cousin, and I each had those digi-vices, like in the show. Gawd, I loved it. If I remember correctly, one of the first stories I ever wrote was a Digimon fanfic. Wish I could find that.
Monster Rancher...eh. I hated the main character, Genki. He was absolutely annoying. Just because you're good at a video game, doesn't mean you can play god in someone else's universe. "I'M THE CHAMP!" Fuck you, Genki.
Love the Monster Rancher video games, though. Stopped playing when all my monsters started dying. It was depressing. =(

I remember Monster Rancher! I had forgotten the name though. I just used remember it as the show with the badass evil wolf on the good guys side and the Mike Wazowski lookalike.

This was my favourite tv show for an entire year. I refused to watch anything else but biker mice from mars and the little mermaid. This is probably where I get my bike obsession from.
If oyu can't like this song there's something wrong with your soul.
I actually don't remember Thundercats at all. I probably just watched an episode but I recall the theme tune like it was my eye colour.

TV SHOWS
The Twin Peaks intro is just so soothing. It almost makes me sad that television program intros aren't as long and good as this anymore.
MOVIE INTROS
The intro to Se7en is so incredibly creepy and unsettling that it almost seems like it was added in for the sole purpose of turning away squeamish viewers from the actual film's content. The alternate version of the already creepy Nine Inch Nails song closer is far eerier, and enhances the experience.
Bond movies have the greatest surreal intros. The intro to goldeneye had some great effects that were unique at the time. One of my favorite Bond films. Plus the intro was done by Tina Turner, and that damn fool of a woman got a voice, yo.
Let me start by saying that the intro to the original Terminator is good, too, but this is far superior in both detail and atmosphere. It does a fantastic job setting the mood for a dark action epic.
This is my favorite movie intro. Beautiful, eerie music, a damn good narrator, and a great opening for a setting. It was great how The Road Warrior didn't require you to see the original Mad Max to understand the plot. You can defiantly see how this influenced the intros of the Fallout games as well.

This show (to my knowledge) never aired in the UK. American pop culture is constantly referencing this, Family Matters and The Jeffersons. We never saw any of this stuff. And it's a shame, because this song is incredible.
And here is an astounding barbershop version from an American sitcom we do get.

Here is one I just heard for the first time. It's awesome!
Fun fact: This is actually the same song that King Arthur and the Knights of Camelot would sing as they quested for the Holy Grail. It passed the time and confused the hell out of those who would impede them.
--
Here is another one that this reminds me of. God, after a few years of my childhood, they reeeeeeally ran out of sensible ideas for cartoons. I would love to have been in the recording studio when they tried to record the dialogue for this intro with a straight face! xD

Resurrecting an old thread here:
I watched the first episode of Boardwalk Empire last night. I was pretty tired, so I probably didn't quite get a full impression of it (I needed to a see a 90 second sex scene with Steve Buscemi like I needed to read about "Thane's throbbing member". Yuck.)
But I digress, the show's intro is pretty cool, and this is the place for that sort of thing.
EDIT: And Buch, I envy your childhood. All I watched growing up was "Hey Arnold!" and "Arthur". This "Dinosaucers" sounds brilliant!
