Prince Valiant! I might be a little bit biased, because I think that was the best cartoon series ever, but really, listen to the ending theme, it's genius! (Yes, German version. I am German, after all ) Once upon a time... Man. Hah, that was another great series. I guess that's where I got my interest in history. The French original simply uses Bach's Fugue as intro. Okay, I could go on on a cartoon nostalgia flash....the other Once upon a time series, Dogtagnan, The Dreamstone, Animals of Farthing Wood, Gummi Bears, Smurfs, Don Quijote, In 80 Days around the world... ehem, I'm showing my age But let's concentrate on good intros: Babylon 5, Season 5 - suckiest season of the show, but best intro. "We've come to place President Clark under arrest." Man, if John Sheridan can do so, why not John Shepard? And of course, THE classic - Das Boot!

Das Boot, now that takes me back. Best submarine movie ever, past present and future.

Star Trek! I love pretty much all of the intros to those shows (except DS9, since I don't think I saw but two episodes of it). Enterprise had a great intro, but I think I've seen Voyager's about a billion times. Plus, the opening part of the new movie had a great build-up. =D
Plus, the opening to Contact, which is still just plain amazing to me.

I just saw Octo's mention of "Prince Valiant" and I wanted to give my thumbs-up! I love that song.
I remember when I read the first Dragon Age tie-in novel, that song was playing in my head pretty much the entire time. It really was - it was cool. xD

I'm sorry, I just prefer DS9's intro. So epic, dramatic and yet triumphant.

Because I had to.
Interesting fact: Dwight Schultz did the voice of Navigator Presley in ME1.

I just felt like I had to post this. Even with the poor voice acting and bad graphics, the writing, music and general atmosphere make Deus Ex great, and it's no more apparent than in this intro scene.
"Aquinas spoke of the mythical city on the hill, soon that city will be a reality and we will be crowned it's kings. Or better than kings,,, GAWDS!"

I didn't realise Face was Starbuck this whole time.
So Mass Effect, whose spaceship crew is based heavily on the remake of Battlestar Galactica, also stars the Starbuck from the original version!

Quite possibly the best intro to any video game I've ever seen.
Gives me chills. Every. Time.
