The Sound of Silence, covered by Disturbed:
This is strangely, hauntingly, beautiful...

Kudos to these guys for keeping it fairly low key rather than going for some weird full out metal version. The vocal style worked surprisingly well here.

Has anyone else listened to Hamilton yet? Nearly every song from it is amazing.

I found this video of one of my favorite singers (Alex Boye) backed by the BYU Men's Chorus singing Baba Yetu - which is apparently The Lord's Prayer in Swahili - and is one of the most beautiful songs I have EVER heard. I love this song...
Baba yetu, yetu uliye Mbinguni yetu, yetu amina! Baba yetu yetu uliye M jina lako e litukuzwe.
Utupe leo chakula chetu Tunachohitaji, utusamehe Makosa yetu, hey! Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe Waliotukosea usitutie Katika majaribu, lakini Utuokoe, na yule, muovu e milele!
Ufalme wako ufike utakalo Lifanyike duniani kama mbinguni. (Amina)

I kept hearing this on the radio at work over the past couple of weeks.
I know nothing about this artist yet but this song speaks to me. Very mellow, a little sad, makes me think about my life.

Man I'm on a bit of a classic country kick, but I'm not about to post Chet Atkins without bringing in another one of the greats of his era.

I have Bad to the Bone and Born to be Wild on a two-song playlist. That's how much of a bad dude I am.

Missed an opportunity there. Have Bad to the Bone and I Drink alone back to back to hear the same music in two different songs.
No really Mr Thoroughgood, you are awesome but get some new riffs man.

Then: Danny Elfman, Prince, U2, Seal, The Smashing Pumpkins
Now: Hans Zimmer.
That about sums up what went wrong with the Batman films. I get that maybe Nolan's films were too serious to have a great song attached, but imo Batman pictures should have musical theme songs like James Bond 007 does.

"Mum and Dad are very proud of you." = the greatest punk insult of all time?
