So I've noticed you guys discussing music quite a bit in one of the other topics, and thought it might be worth its own thread. I'll start us off with my two favourite songs at the moment.
The first one is Down with the Sickness by Disturbed. It's my "angry" song, and I listen to it when I'm furious. I often wish to play it to my mother, too;
The second one is Runaway, by Pink. Bit of a change of pace from the one above. I listen to this one when I feel sad:
And for the record, I have never listened to Tori Amos.

Disturbed, my favorite song by them is Indestructible. Anything by Breaking Benjamin, they are my favorite band. Linkin Park: Breaking the Habit, Numb, In the End
Burn by Sevendust, this song just seems to have everything in it
The best is Trance: Favorite Trance song Into a Fantasy by C-Base

Man, I feel uncool. Almost all my music is from a minimum of twenty years ago and hence I'm hearing all these for the first time, apart from Elton John. I like him. Oh and Hey Mickey! I didn't see that at first! Some friends of mine are all about Disturbed, but it's just too darn loud for me. You crazy kids. I kinda like the Pink one here - normally I don't care for her but this is a good one. She used to do one called 'Lonely Girl' that I liked too. Cali - your music sounds pretty damn good all round. Good-o. --- --- We must make you listen to Tori Amos! I have this odd habit of stealing song titles/lyrics as chapter/ story names when I can't be asked to make soemthing up. I've done this a couple times too - our story 'All Along the Watchtower' obviously, and also I wrote a wee KotOR story named after this Tori Amos song- -- Here's another song that I'm really digging at the moment - perfectly sums up my thoughts about Christmas. -- And one more, purely to 'represent' real music to you damn kids.

You think that's worse? I've listen to half the stuff are plain non-english, electronica or something a tad 'differnt' like Nightwish.
Also I've listen to classical music a lot >.>
Yeah I know shut up.
One of my favourites from the Final Fantasy Series. It won't be the same without Nobuo Uematsu
I can't describe this beautiful electronica piece really, you have to listen it to yourselves
I've listen to this everytime I'm working on "Empires in Fragments"
From Nobuo Uematsu again. Don't worry it's english
Opening song for "Code Monkeys" I love that show.

My top favourite music is all opera. Nobody noticed that now did you. lol I'll add a better range of songs I like when I'm at home because at the moment I can't remember names and i really hate spelling an artists/songs name wrong.

I like opera, and classical, but I never invest my time in learning to properly appreciate it. If either is on the radio, I am happy though.
These Final Fantasy songs are rather good, and the Code Monkey song rocks too.

Yeah I've used to listen to classical due to music class, hence I've learn to appresiated.
Crying shame Nobuo Uematsu let Square-Enix, since then the newer FF games are not the same for me really.
that Tim Minchin song is pretty good too.

Yeah, nobuo Uematsu is my idol... god I feel like a fan girl -_-
As I've said before after he left Square-Enix, I've felt the FF series were not the same for me. The music in FF12 is pretty decent but it's lacks the maigc that Uematsu has enchanted on.
Also, since you've like Breaking Benjamin I got something for you Hodster.

Every time I open this thread it slows my computer to a crawl. My computer is terrible.
Still though I really like the 'Code Monkey' song that was posted up here, and I found this really nice AMV of it-

I love Code Monkeys! That is all... Let me see if I can dig up a few of my top favorite songs. (Sorry there's quite a few of them! xD) "The Bard's Song" - Blind Guardian (I want this song to be played at my funeral, lol. It was the first time I was ever transported away by a song before.) "March of Mephisto" - Kamelot (My favorite band and the only band that I've gone out of my way to see in concert. This is the song that got me into them.) "Shellshocked" - Chronic Future (This is the techno version of it, but this isn't bad either.) "Inis Mona" - Eluveitie (I've been obsessed with folk metal lately. I wouldn't say this is one of my favorite songs, but folk metal is one of my favorite kinds of music if it's done right. These guys do it right.) "Omnos" - Eluveitie (Same band, awesome song, and it might be one of my favorites.) "Welcome Home" - Coheed & Cambria (My favorite band until Kamelot came along.) "Nero's Decay" - Alesana (Wrote a lot of the action scenes in my first novel to this song. Love the chaos of it.) "Bastila Shan's Theme" - Knights of the Old Republic Soundtrack (Brings back all sorts of memories and experiences from the game; all of them pleasant to reflect upon again.) "Moonfall" - World of Warcraft Soundtrack (Last one, I swear! This song brings back a lot of fond memories from WoW, and I listen to it repeatedly when I'm writing.)

Warcraft... I like their music but not when I'm playing.
That "Children of the Sin'Dorei" song is pretty good though.
