OK through marketing already released we know that the trip to Andromeda is 600 years. That requires their tech to perfectly perform for that period and sustain a speed of around 4100 times the speed of light. That's pretty far ahead of what they have in universe. Maybe they reverse engineered Reaper tech or something.
Only interaction I see in the video is with Milky Way races that have seemingly set up rival outposts. That one seems strange but it definitely suggests a non synthesis ending for ME 3. Synthesis seemed to suggest a galaxy wide collective more or less like communism. It also all but requires the control ending as the destroy ending would leave no infrastructure to create this tech.
Combat seems to be a little freer flowing without as much use of cover mechanics. It looks even more than ever like a cartoony Gears of War though. As usual this is very much a tease and does not even give a taste.

I dunno, my hopes are kinda up. I like some of the things they're adding, especially the Arkham/Witcher 3 cluefinding stuff.
This is saying a lot.

Well, at least BioWare showed something seemed solid and personally I think it will have a better higher chance of success than Star Citizen.
Also, BioWare at least did throw a venison bone this time around, compare to the disappointment with the lack of more info of Squadron 42. So that's a major plus for Bioware.

For a fleet to make it that far without resupply is damned impossible. The logistics alone requires an entire galaxy's worth of support just to launch such an expedition. And then we have to figure on the numbers of ships required for redundancy's sake and it would require total non-scarcity of supplies and total independence of consumable supplies. My brain hurts from the implausibility.

A four minute gameplay vid that just came out 4 hours ago. Still not a lot of meat but it looks pretty at least. I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but I just thought I'd share my thoughts. I liked: * The dialogue wheel and interrupts being more in line with Inquisition. I'm actually quite surprised/impressed they're ditching Paragon and Renegade for this one. * It only took like ten years, but it looks like there's an actual inventory again! * More of a ME1/2 level of enemy variety, instead of ME3's strict "factions". * The Witcher vision stuff should hopefully add a little bit of gameplay variety. I always loved that bit in Lair of the Shadow Broker where you just investigated Liara's apartment with Tela Vasir. * Female turian squadmate! Not so sure about: * Yeah, I'm not thrilled about the presence of resource mining in the demo. If even 10% of my playtime in Inquisition was spent digging up ores and pulling herbs, I don't wanna think about how time-consuming that was. * The enemies in the combat sections looked really damage spongey. Whenever I replay Inquisition, I'm always tempted to just play on Normal since all it affects is how much you have to wallop enemies before they stay down. * Back in my day, the Mako HUD was a lot more minimal!

Unfortunately turning mobs into damage sponges and nerfing the player's health was always Bioware's idea of adding difficulty. Never got into higher difficulties with any of their games for that reason. Dragon Age (all three of them), Mass Effect (all three of them) and Jade Empire all had this problem. The first Mass Effect did a slightly better job of hiding this effect but the shooting gallery nature of all the combat areas in 2 and 3 made it glaring.
It would be nice if adding difficulty meant smarter enemies rather than adding so much health and armor to them that they take 10 minutes to bring down just because of how much meat they bring to the table.

Apparently it's coming out in March.
Hopefully I will be making something resembling money again by that time. Being laid up sucks.

Apparently when you craft guns in this, you can configure them to fire with an overheat mechanic like in ME1. Pretty sweet.

Well it looks like combat looks a lot better than the brief glimpses we got of it in other trailers. I wasn't that skeptical about it, but the removal of the class system actually seems to have made the gameplay more interesting. I love the idea that you can have three different powers that were formerly exclusive to a single class.
Plus, you can apparently go completely without guns now. I'm gonna be a Jedi Knight, yo.

Looks like we have some consolitis. Allowing full skill tree access but restricting what skills can be "equipped." Le sigh. I know that hotbars cannot be executed for console in the same way as PC but could they not address this dreck in some other way?

If it wasn't for exclusives that Sony has managed to scrounge together over the years I would have even less interest in consoles than I do right now. I'll still be rocking this rig with a couple of tweaks and upgrades when you guys have dished out on your third version of this "last console generation."
Well Nintendo has some kind of weird ecosystem too but I refuse to give those assholes my money until they stop trying to strangle the youtube community with DMCA claims that lack foundation in reality.
