I don't yet have the game, but the facial animations look fucking terrible from what I have seen. They look as if they were dropped into the bottom of the uncanny valley and beaten to death with an uncanny stick.
If any of you guys have it yet, what do you think?

Buying it once I get more nazi gold. I've heard the game has some fucking hilarious oddities and bugs, which is why I'm ready to riff the hell out of it.
To nobody's surprise, EA essentially hustled people again by foisting Andromeda on a studio full of rookies who were barely even prepared to work on a game this size. What they did was assign it to EA Montreal, rename the company BioWare Montreal and hope nobody would notice. This isn't even BioWare's folly this time.

Shudder.
I didn't know Bioware Montreal was not a full branch of Bioware. So call me fooled. This could be pretty rancid.

You can only talk to someone if they're facing you.
I just had a magic moment where Ryder stormed into a lab to confront someone who'd tried to kill her, only to be stumped because the person had gone to look at a desk.

I've been playing a lot more this evening, and it's pretty weird, it feels like there's a noticeable uptick in the game's enjoyability after you colonize Eos. It opens up similarly to Inquisition after Haven did (though DA:I's opening/the Hinterlands was probably about a million times better than Eos.)
Y'know, right after the crappy part you let everyone play for free. Smooth move, EA.
Also, I just crafted a Sidewinder revolver that I modded to have bouncing bullets. Named it after Michael Stipe. Now I want Ryder to shout "Call me when you try to wake her!" during combat.

Sounds about right. It's also the opposite effect I had when I played the Demo for DA 2. "It'll be be better in the full version." *facepalm* So broke right now, I can barely afford bread. It'll be a while before I see it for myself.

Been watching the Misses play ME:A for the past week and I gotta admit, even she does.....it doesn't have the same pull as the original games had. I get it, new story and characters but nobody is really memorable like Garrus or Wrex or Tali. The only one who sticks out is Draack who is a more paternal version of Wrex and he is still mostly as Krogan as you can get.

I know this is so OOC from me, but I'm gonna get it when the price is really down, I'm done with the Witcher series and I have a lot of downtime. I'm quite intrigue with this game, although it's on an ironic note unfortunately.
I definitely won't hate it, but I'll be more amused instead. Seemed like a good comedy game.

I'm decidedly Meh. I'm waiting on Price and when I decide to upgrade my PC. I can handle it now... but only just.
I'm really looking forward to the next dragon-age game.

One thing that cracks me up about Andromeda is that the devs talked a lot about recapturing the spirit of ME1, or "fulfilling its potential". And then we ended up with:
* A ton of technical issues, included some good old-fashioned texture pop-in. * A really awkward to navigate inventory system. * Skills that just give you really puny percentages towards damage/resistance. * An entire race of aliens that exist just to narrate at you about their culture. * M/M romance that was aborted at the very last moment, even after dialogue had been recorded.
I think some ME1 fan out there's been abusing the ol' monkey's paw.

Romances are a bit shit.... You know back in the day we only had 3 romance choices AND WE LIKED IT! Ever since ME2 and DAO we got to many partners thrown at us. Quantity doesn't make quality guys! .... Although Cora's arse is very impressive.

Inquisition had quality and quantity of romances, I would argue.
It's a little sad how often I think, "I wish I was playing Inquisition" during thjs. Maybe it's cause Patrick Weekes hopped franchises. Maybe it's cause I spent ages with Shitty Cora and Shitty Liam, as opposed to the greatness of DA:I's Cassandra/Varric/Solas starting team.
I will say that I'm currently torn between romancing Jaal or Vetra, though. Jaal in particular is probably the most compelling character in the game.
