Pet hate: The guy in Anne Hathaway movies who cheats on her. Who the Fuck cheats on Anne Hathaway? Yeah, I don't get that either - I mean, it's Anne Freakin' Hathaway - if I looked like her, and had even a shred of her talent, I would not be working in a call center. Which movie are you referring to though? I can only remember specifically a few movies I saw her in, and in only one of them was her character really mistreated and that was Les Miserables. I'm curious now... lol Side note, for any Shakespeare fans - did you know that Anne Hathaway is also the name of William Shakespeare's wife? They were married from 1582–1616, and had three children... she was also 8 or 9 years older than he was! *beat*Sorry, I'm a bit of a Shakespeare nerd...

It was a recent one, so I don't want to spoil it. And yes, I presumed that she chose it as a stage name based on that.

Pope Francis seeming like a cool guy, then you hear about his views on gay rights. Just disappointing.

If you are referring to the rumours that he was supporting that clerk in the US who was refusing to issue marriage licenses, the Vatican has distanced themselves from her. She made it out to be a private meeting, when in fact she just simply was in the room with a bunch of other folks. Her misrepresenting that meeting into something it wasn't just makes her that much more contemptible.
I don't have enough info on the clergyman/official they fired who came out of the closet. As far as i am aware the Holy See does not fire people for being gay (at least not that blatantly), but if an official who has taken a chastity vow was in an affair, that would be a different thing.
Francis is far more liberal about gay rights than any Pontif in history. They still have a far way to go, but seeing as you can't be a priest in Catholicism if you are a woman, yeah, that church is pretty messed up and behind the times.

Getting so drunk at a bar that you forget to leave a tip.
Happened to me twice. Was so worried I'd invoke the wrath of the barkeeps just by showing up a few days later. At least I remember to pay the actual bill.

Sometimes the unexpected happens to kick you in the 'nads. Like today I got a call out of the blue that my Family Dr had closed her practice and I needed to pay 90.00 to get a copy of my records before they get archived when they will cost even more. It'll be all but impossible to get a new doctor without them and can be hard to get even clinic treatment without them as well. So with me being over a barrel i held my nose and paid the fee. Now I need some printer ink to print off an authorization form to release the fucking things.
good times.

I told Cali this before in Skype chat, but one of my bigger pet peeves is burning books. There's something unsettling about seeing a book getting burnt, even if it's fucking Twilight. Maybe it's due to past experience or something related to history.
On the other hand, throwing a book to the wall is OK. Especially if it's written by George R.R Martin. Standard procedure, really.

Book burning goes a bit past pet hate into something more like being utterly contemptible in my opinion. I can never trust the agenda of a book burner. I can't think of one person who engaged in it that wasn't creeping into complete monster territory.

Book burning is a horrible horrible thing. It stinks of the attempt at thought control, the authorities burning books they don't want the people to read, and in a less government / totalitarian way, just making a petty point about 'evil' books.
I remember reading a while back about how some people burned piles of Harry Potter books because of the witchcraft thing - how friggin' stupid is that?? Also a waste of books. And a waste of money - they had to buy the books to make the pyre with, after all, as far as I know...
