Any Simon Pegg film that doesn't involve Edgar Wright. I feel sorry for the guy otherwise.

I wish people would stop posting Dark Knight quotes. Especially the "He's the Hero x needs" bullshit.

This is sort of pet hates...
I sort of want to see if my FB friends will go along with this. I don't think it'll take off but it would amuse me if it did.
"Resolutions from a Pizza Delivery Driver
I will always have clearly lit numbers on the front of my house.
I will always have reflective numbers on both sides of my mailbox.
If I ever have a circular driveway, it will be wide enough for at least two vehicles, preferably with a parking area.
I will always have my porch lighting high enough that it does not cause a bug storm, or alternatively, use a bug killer light.
I will never make a delivery driver stand outside in severe weather conditions.
I will always be fully clothed when I come to the door.
I will never shout through the door "Who Is It?"
I will never hand the money to the kids and not bother to get up.
If I ever order for someone else, and will not be present to sign the credit card slip, I will ensure that the CSR on the phone knows that tip is to be added later.
I will always tip the driver, because I know they risk their life and their livelihood every time they make a delivery.
Please pretend I'm awesome and make this go viral."

Having the numbers of your civic address clearly visible is not just a matter of good manners. Your life could actually depend on it. I can't in any way disagree with the rest.

Finding out the hot brunette who's now going to be working with you twice a week is a happily married mother of 2. It doesn't diminish her at all, but it was a bit of a let down...

For various reasons I have not been posting too much lately. Mostly checking one or twice a day to clean out the spam and make the occasional one line comment.
Getting back into work has not been much of a pleasure. I started back in right at the end of back to school season and we are located in a retail park right next to a movie theater. Not the greatest of combos if you are looking for a quiet shift. Every last shift I had last week made me want to cry and quit in one way or another in that order. Friday and Saturday get a special mention both for the sheer overwhelming amount of business we did and for the fact I packed in 24 hours of work into a 33 hour period.
I now have a week of doing mid shifts which while they have their charm in that I am not really responsible for either the open or the close, they are not opens and therefore do not get me out in anything resembling good time. On the other hand, I have never been asked to work late on a mid.
I'm just now hoping that I can survive the next five shifts with my sanity intact. If I can make it to about this time next week, we will be past the last of the summer and things should settle just a little bit. Drama has been a bit higher than usual at work so the issue is very much in doubt.
Edit, my 7000th post is a whiny rant about my job. Just wonderful.

well, yesterday was a little easier.
I refuse to have too much hope for this week yet based on one result as it started out with a shitshow. Monday's product order was a whopping 12 hours late which fucked everyone up Monday and most of yesterday. But there is a small chance that I will get through this week as something other than a gibbering shell of the human being I would like to be.

I came to a realization this week as i am getting used to my new glasses. I am having a bit of trouble focusing on close objects wile wearing them. It's not too bad yet but it looks a little like i may have to consider mother fucking bifocals sooner rather than later.
Goddammit.

I'm pretty sure one of my parents (possibly both) has to use them... oh... that doesn't help, does it? So does this mean I can start referring to you as "My Ol' Man"?

Well, I'm sure no one will tell the difference from a distance. They'll probably think "Glasses are glasses."
