A) I don't even know what quinoa is and B) I've been pronouncing it key-noah, which is apparently wrong. Quinoa is a kind of grainy substance that is good if used correctly, but is on my verboten list because of a rather appalling experience I had with a specific restaurant's rather disgusting attempt to make a side-dish with it. And I believe it's pronounced "kin-wah". There is a certain salad at Linders' restaurant that uses it correctly and is actually rather delicious - but that is at this time the only dish I'll eat that uses quinoa. Behold - the Smiling Buddha Salad. The quinoa is used sparingly as a garnish, and not as a full-sized side blob.

Frankly Quinoa looks like guano to me. I handle the stuff 5 days a week for going on three years now and my opinion of it has not changed in the slightest. It needs, no craves very strong flavours to bring out it's few positive qualities. Left bland and bare like the the idiot chef at the restaurant Lily went to and its pretty much tastes like dirt.
It's supposed to be extremely healthy having a massive kick of protein and fiber. I'm not into it though.

I haven't tried a quinoa yet, but I'm quite wary from the way you've describe it Linders.

This bullshit right here...
Not sure what pisses me off: the dipshits who treat what is supposed to be a fighting staff like a Drum Major's baton or the fact that so many people say "this was impressive display of martial arts skill" when in reality it's just a fancy dance that will get someone seriously hurt or killed if they tried any of that in a fight.

Now this leads into another pet hate: mixed martial arts gyms that automatically dismiss the more traditional martial arts as useless dancing, though since the martial arts tournament circuit is full of nothing but gymnastics routines while using martial arts weapons and wearing a gi, I can see where they're coming from. On the other hand, MMA is sport fighting and passing off sport fighting techniques as actual street fighting techniques is at least equally dangerous, and in many ways more dangerous in that they say that a smaller and physically weaker person can use their "ultimate fighting system" and defeat much larger opponents.
Sport fighting is all about defeating someone in a sanctioned contest and its techniques are heavily modified to reduce the risk of severe injury between the contestants while others are either completely banned and attacking vital points on the body is illegal. For example: a low shin kick with to the leg in MMA targets the thigh: a very thick and meaty part of the body that can withstand quite a bit of abuse. The original technique called for the kick to impact the side of the knee to destroy the joint.

As for how a staff is supposed to be used, here's a couple videos that show some the forms I was taught and another video showing how to apply the techniques. Vastly different than that gymnastics routine. The first two videos show Mark Radunz, a man who trained under the same instructor as my teacher while the third is Sherman Harrill: the man who trained them and who learned from the one who founded our style in karate in Okinawa.

That sub place I was looking at and was going to order lunch from is artful camouflage. It's been closed for months, and this town deliberately left the sign up.

I remember how disappointed I was when my favorite Greek restaurant closed down but left the signage all up, and it really looked like they were still there. It's a tease, is what it is.

Yeah I hear you. One of my favourite Japanese restaurant was closed down years ago, much to my dismay.
Another pet hate that really made me see red: Adobe and it's CC.
I get it why it wants to have a subscription base, but paying 60 dollars a month just to use PS seemed a bit steep for me, especially with it's so called cloud features doesn't appeal to me. There's a reason why I'm doing my art base in Manga Studio these days, is due to that. Plus they have features that adobe doesn't have, such as comic tools. However, I wish there's a really good alternative to PS, besides GIMP because I need a software that could edit 3D textures.

Adobe is just a farking terrible ass company. They really need some kind of credible competition.

Yeah, fuck Adobe. Sure that there are much better alternatives now when it comes to digital artwork, to the point even professionals now use SAI Tool and that's a very simplistic program that does it job better than PS arguably in terms of painting. However, most of the good alternatives I come across were only available to Macs, so... I began to see why now that Macs are the no.1 option for graphic designers ESPECIALLY these days.
And is there an alternative to After Effects? I still can't think up an alternative to it. Besides Final cut Pro. You can drop that suggestion down, since it's only available to Macs only, again.
But yeah, competition is a good thing actually now come to think of it. Without AMD, both Intel and Nvidia would churning out shit hardware or filmsy ones at best. And don't get me started with 3rd party companies such as ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc; who continues to push themselves in order to impress their prospect customer with their hardware features. Most of the time.

Are there not Mac OS emulators out there somewhere? I know Macs can get some kind of hashed out Win OS emulator, just don't know if the reverse is true.

Travel agents. Why do they still exist?
Seriously, they're useless. They know no more or less than the person hiring them these days.

Travel agents. Why do they still exist? Seriously, they're useless. They know no more or less than the person hiring them these days. Good question. They still have a place but not at the premium they still charge. Google is almost as good as hiring an agent. Only the very most attentive of these agents are any good at sorting the shit from the awesome for travel choices.
