My parents' neighbours are Korean. Neighbours as in neighbouring appartment inside a house, not as in neighbouring house. My mother always complains how often they prepare fish meals, and how one can always smell that even at the house's stairs still.

I don't know about the fish meals in Korean cuisine, but honestly I'm not a big fan of seafood that much. Also my least favourite Korean delicacy would have to be kimchi. I couldn't eat that damn thing by itself, it's a little too strong for me and I don't mean the spiciness. I mean the sour taste that was came from being preserved in some kind of vinegar for too long. Especially Kimchi Stew. Its like multiplying a regular hot sour soup by 10. Although I did like to use it for other stews as an ingredient, like Budae Jjiage. I can't cook Budae Jjiage without kimchi, along with tuna, as a basis for the stew.

Okay. Seeing as how I've realized I have a bile fascination as of late, I thought I'd share some bad fanfiction with you all. Be warned, because I somehow find a LOT of really bad fanfiction and bad fanfiction authors very easily. Mass Effect: A Twisted AngelSo the above is a bad Mass Effect Self-Insert that also has elements of Jak and Daxter in it. He says that it's only small elements, but from what I can gather, they're all over the place in this fic. Anyway, this fic is really bad almost from the get-go, as the main character is a massive Gary Stu. I mean, he trades his voice at the beginning for stuff, but he gets a million overpowered superpowers such that the trade-off isn't balanced in the least, though the fact that the author continually seems to forget to describe the character's dialogue as if he's not actually talking doesn't help anyone. Oh yeah, and his spelling, punctuation, and grammar is really bad. That wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that he silences his critics and generally acts like a whiny bitch if the problems in his story are pointed out. That too. Mass Effect: A Child's DestinyThis is actually by the same author who posted the story above this one, but it bears mentioning because this one is just as bad. This one, though, is a better example of all his problems: essentially, the author indulges way too much in the rule of cool for our safety, and a lot of the elements just don't work. Especially not when he trivializes infant abduction in the prologue of this fanfic, in addition to giving away the ending in the same prologue. Subject 23Okay, this one isn't badly written, but it does feature a major Gary Stu who is incredibly violent in addition to being just unpleasant. It doesn't help at all that the Stu in question has powers that aren't at all appropriate for the ME continuum, and that the fic in some ways is essentially a long, overdrawn bashfest of Miranda Lawson. The Talimance is also kinda stilted here. There are more off the top of my head, but some are evading me right now, and some I see as guilty pleasures, so... yeah.

It seems that Harry Deville has finally updated his festering masterpiece on the Mass Effect fanfiction wiki! masseffectfanfiction.wikia.com/wiki/Davies_DLCFor those who don't remember me talking about this, The Davies DLC is more or less the Mass Effect fanfiction equivalent of Sonichu. The author is a delusional maniac, but is more or less harmless and non-belligerent. Still, if you ever have the urge to neutralize some of your brain cells, feel free to give it a go. I still haven't managed to get anywhere near past the first few chapters.

They need to say that to each other when they meet again in Mass Effect 3.

I just found a fic that is so morally reprehensible, it's pissing me off. Even worse? It's Dragon Age. Dragon Age 2,granted, but still. (Hey, I didn't think it was as bad as everybody else thinks!) I present to you, Gabriel HawkeThe spelling and grammar isn't very good. But that's a function of the guy being from Indonesia, originally. So I can kind of forgive that, even if he should've gotten the beta reader. What I can't forgive, however, is the content of this story. The main character of this story is an unlikeable psychopath. To whit, he does the following: -Abducts, rapes, and brutally murders a woman for being a Templar-- in the first chapter! -Says he wouldn't have cried at having killed his own father if he wasn't drunk at the time. -Is bisexual as a result of a conscious choice to rebel against the Chantry. Basically, if there were people like this in the actual DA continuum, the Templars' irrational fears would be MORE than justified, trust me.

I saw the somewhat savaging review you gave the guy. Niice.
Though it was slightly watered down by the three creeps declaring they "loved" poorly written, rapist Hawke.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the author replied to that savage review I gave. Normally, I wouldn't show people replies I've been given from other people, but this author's reply to my review just defies all logic. To that end, you really have to see it for yourself: I'm almost tempted to tell this stupid sack of shit that I have written in other languages-- Spanish and German, to be precise-- but honestly, that reply is so stupid that it doesn't even dignify a dumb response. Let's just say that this guy might find his fic on a certain page that he really won't want his fanfic on some time in the near future...

What an ass. That's all I can say really.
I bet he can't tell some of the readers to *finger gesture* chillax *finger gesture* on few who might be part of the milliant feminism school of thought. I'm just saying.
And yeah, who is willing to call the shots to place that fan fic on that page? Anyone?

Apparently I got blocked from the Mass Effect Mary Sue Database Fanfiction Wikia for "inserting Nonsense/Gibberish into pages". I have no idea what the fuck this means. Whatever. Evidently my tenth grade English and grammar were too much for them.
I know Dantanius likes to make fun of himself and say that his writing is bad, but his stuff is actually a hell of a lot more well written, original, and coherent than some of the other tripe people write on there.
