Okay...i dont get this.
How can a team up with Star Wars and Mass effect Characters to beat up Edward fucking Cuellen sound so awesome, and is yet executed so HORRIBLY?!

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm all for Archangel doing a headshot at Edward and Bella's fore head, but I have standards and I mean it had to be tastefully and well made.

This isn't as bad as the majority of the stories posted on here Yes, it is. I've only read the first chapter just now, but the main character has too many weapons on him (including a katana, for good measure. Doesn't get any more stereotypical than that), the clichéd action hero appearance, a "badass" (read pissy) attitude, amnesia, the list goes on... Has the author (no doubt a thirteen year old boy), ever even heard of any of these clichés? And script fics aren't supposed to be allowed on fanfiction.net. |

First off, Amnesia does not work that way.
Second, no woman i know would let her man date another woman if there were feelings involved.
Third, for professonal mercs they act like sixteen year olds who just discovered sex.
Fourth, the main character is a un-like able asshole because he is a god emoter and cheats on his girlfriend. And of course all the women are attracted to him.
Fifth: the girlfriend is an idiot for having sex without a condom and is over sexed because in every chapter she needs to get laid.
Sixth: First he says he lost his girlfriend, then he says she was his fiancé, make up your bloody mind.
Seventh: why put up 'mature situiations' on your last chapter when you had several sex scenes without a warning in the previous chapters.
Eight: what is the fucking plot of this thing?!
Nine: How can the female character get feelings for someone she just met?
Ten: why does everybody make a big fuss of them being together? They're mercs, they probably have a different lay every night and get high of stuff.
Eleven: The main character flips his shit all the damn time for no fucking reason.
Twelve: So it's not ok for a woman to flirt with a guy, but it is ok for a guy to have sexual relations with two women, one of them his superior officer?
Thirteen: he tried to kill himself a hundred times and some idiot thought it was a smart idea to hire a man like that in a warzone?
Fourteen: Where the hell did the main character all his hightech shit from? Amnesia? Fine, how can he explain what the hell his gun is if he doesn't know where the hell he got it from?
Fifteen: what the hell is the plot of this story?!
I'm not even halfway my list and this thing pisses me off!

Another one from Mercs. www.fanfiction.net/s/6112858/1/La_Vie_En_RoseThis one isn't nearly as awful as "It's All In a Name" but that doesn't say much. The premise is Jennifer Mui fell in love with and married an American merc after working together on a job for ExOps. Pet peeves of mine regarding the series are: 1) the absurdly short chapters 2) abrupt storyline and plot shifts 3) some of the scenes make me feel like I need an insulin shot due to the over-the-top sweet sappiness 4) a typically cool and calculating mercenary notorious for favoring money and nothing else turns into a cougar in heat faster than FemShep in ME2 at the sight of a well-built shirtless man 5) the American merc (who is somehow related to Lieutenant William Holt from Medal of Honor) and his non-freelance counterparts are portrayed as being arrogant, highly aggressive, and "cowboy-ish" for lack of a better word. In the first part of the series the commanding officer for the US troops, erroneously ID'd as Major Garrett (he's actually supposed to be a Colonel), straight-up says "...go say hello to those bastards the United States way", meaning for the mercs to shoot the enemy on sight. 6) Jennifer Mui deciding to "execute" an enemy who'd kidnapped her and her friend Fiona Taylor, but fucks up by shooting them in the face/jaw area instead of the upper parts of the skull where the brain actually is. I can see a street thug or similarly untrained individual doing this or maybe if she were stressed out and took a hasty shot, but a merc trained by the paratroopers, SAS, and MI6 would NOT fuck up a deliberate execution shot. The sad thing is, I actually thought it was decent. Not great but nothing to sneer at. But now I just want to give the whole series the MST treatment. |

Jennifer Mui always seemed to be the money loving, sociopathic asexual type to me. That fic makes absolutely no sense.
