Also, it would make absolutely no sense from a character, timeline or even basic common sense perspective, but I really hope Ani is Birdman. It'd be a twist worthy of M. Night himself, and her and Frank could have a sustained, Lecter Vs. Crawford-style fight in the finale.

Holy shit. Basically, if you see a True Detective, and they look like they're at roughly the midpoint of their story, run the fuck away.

Holy fucking shit. This episode had a higher body count than all other HBO shows combined.
EDIT: Nevertheless, I'm still kinda disappointed Velcoro didn't hang dong in the shootout.

Haven't seen all of the newest episode yet but anybody notice the lyrics were slightly different in the intro song in this one?

If the first four episodes were set in October 2015, and we've jumped forward two months, I really hope before the season's out, we're gonna see a True Detective-style Christmas.
Paul loses his shit when his fiance buys him Looking - The Complete Series on Blu-Ray.

Also, I liked Frank's line about being in a Mexican standoff with actual Mexicans. I feel like Vince Vaughn could do much better with this character on a less dour, better written show like Justified (Niccy P actually sent them some spec scripts when he was starting out as a TV writer, as a matter of fact.).
Vince Vaughn would've made a much better seasonal villain on that show than Michael Rapaport in the fifth season.

Last episode was some James Bond meets Eyes Wide Shut shit.

Holy shit, that was a good episode. The last scenes, with Ray and Ani hooking up, and Woodrugh running through the tunnels were Michael Mann as shit.

The Noire aspect of this season has just been turned up to eleven.

Also, Vince Vaughn was actually legit great in this episode. The scenes where he tortures Blake, has that standoff with Osip and blows up his businesses were some of the best of the season. I really hope he plays a gangster in more dramatic roles after this, he can do it pretty well.
Maybe he could be a sleazy Exchange boss in Star Wars Episode VIII?

Also. Colin Farrell would make a really good Bigby Wolf in a Fables film.
Maybe I'm justing thinking that because the way I played Bigby was basically the proto-Velcoro. Bouts of insane dickery and violence punctuated by maybe insufficent attempts to make up for them.

That was a fucking beautiful finale. Loved every second of it, for real.
I knew it wasn't gonna end well, but I knew it wasn't going to be a total fuck-up on the protagonists part either. Vince's final scene was fucking dope.

Just watched the first episode. I think this show should be renamed "Miserable People: The Show"
