I'm thinking Lily might actually be part Valkyrie: feisty but easily distracted by shiny things. lol My best friend calls it my "Crow Eye"... my obsession with shiny things...

Ok. I'm opening myself up for endless ribbing, but I'm a fan of Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series. She describes Valkyrie as being very feisty and strong, but can be mesmerized by shiny objects; which is where my reference comes from.

I've actually never read that series... what's it about?

Basically? Werewolves, Valkyries, Vampires, Berserkers, Witches, Sorcerers, and Gods all exist, but behind the scenes of the normal world. This is where I'll be taking shit: it's supernatural/paranormal romance... XD

Oooh, sounds kinky! Is it kinky? Or sappy? Good romance with kink, or cheesy romance with sap? *beat*Sorry, I have twisted tastes in reading material as well...

More like a mix of sap with epic fight scenes and some pretty decent humor.

I have several of them on my Barnes and Noble Nook. They're one of my guilty pleasures.

Mm...gootta love those guilty pleasures...
I'll admit I have a new guilty pleasure. The "Mortal Instruments" books by Cassandra Clare. Which I know are basically re-titled Harry Potter fanfic with the characters and situations re-named, but... is actually kinda good.
I'd avoided the books for so long, but then I saw the movie "City of Bones" with my best friend, and the movie was actually really good - and had a few stars in is that I absolutely love. Like Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Lena Headey, Aidan Turner, Jamie Campbell Bower... those actors are amazing, and they made the movie good.
So now, "The Mortal Instruments" are a guilty pleasure, though I will admit they are rather fan-ficcy... even for so-called "original stories".
My Kobo-Library is steadily growing... hehe

Well, I'm working on a fanfic based on Immortals After Dark myself. As a bonus, I've got a NY Times bestselling author of supernatural romance as a beta to help me with the process.

Sweet! That certainly would be a bonus! Mind if I ask who it is, or is that confidential?

It's T.M. Sulsona. She's written several books and is in the middle of another, but is more than willing to help me with my own works when she has the time.

She isn't the most mainstream among the paranormal writers, so you're forgiven. lol
