I'm more partial to Judge Hershey, Judge Anderson, and Judge Beeny myself...

Well, it's official... finding the right dress is next to impossible.
Why are so many wedding dresses strapless? I don't want strapless - I don't like strapless - strapless looks great on women who are not me.
And the ones with straps have such flimsy straps that they'd hold up nothing...
And the few that have the right kind of upper half have a skirt that poufs out so far it looks like something not even a Disney Princess would be able to walk in!!
Aaargh!
*beat*
Ok. Time to start over. Must design own wedding dress!
Too bad I can't draw... lol
Also, on a non-clothing-related wedding thing, Linders and I have not set a date yet... so far we are simply enjoying being engaged. But yesterday we ran into my aunt and two cousins (her daughters, both of whom got married in the last two years) and they started grilling us - yes, actually grilling us - about when we set our date for! And when I said we were not yet thinking about a date, my aunt looked at Linders and said "Are you excited about getting married?" and when he answered "Yes", she said "Then you set a date! Go on, set a date! Just tell us when! We all want to know when!"
And there's me, standing there red-faced, trying to politely tell my aunt to stop harassing poor Linders without being rude...
Yeesh. I had no idea my news of me getting engaged would get my family so frikkin' excited!

Aaand... sorry for the doublepost today, but... Linders and I went to the mall today, and we looked in a few different jewellery stores (just for curiosity's sake, not really planning on getting anything) and I found the exact ring I wanted... too bad they didn't have my size in stock, and we won't have the money for the ring until I get paid next weekend and get my rather hefty bonus from work... but, we put the ring on hold, and next weekend when I have the money, we'll be going back to officially order the ring in my size and pay for it... I am so excited! And here's the ring... Isn't it pretty? I'm so excited... I always did love Claddagh rings...

I wanted to hear a date as well! And now there is a ring - that's really nice to see. We will want to see a photo of you wearing it when the time comes.

I wanted to hear a date as well! And now there is a ring - that's really nice to see. We will want to see a photo of you wearing it when the time comes. Oh, don't worry, my dear Mister Buch - I will most assuredly post a picture when I have the actual ring - my hand will be gorgeous when that lovely ring adorns it. And I admit, this is probably the girliest I've ever acted - I'm not usually one for fancy jewellery - I do love shiny things, but I have very simple tastes when it comes to jewellery. My current arrangement is a pewter pentacle pendant on a black cord around my neck, and a silver-plated pewter pentacle ring on my right hand. The ring we picked today is a 10-carat White Gold with diamond accents... and it is the nicest piece of jewellery I've considered wearing since I was a small child. As for a date, well... we don't yet know for sure - we've only briefly talked about it (under slight duress from my aunt) but I would like to have an autumn wedding - the colour-changing leaves on the trees would make for a lovely set of wedding photos, and it would be nice weather without being devastatingly hot out. I can't function well in high heat weather. I kind of like the idea of a September or October wedding... Getting so hype for you guys! And you, Gorvar, are adorable! Thanks for the enthusiasm and hype! We love you too...

September or October? So next Saturday would work, then? Oh, yeah, if I had thousands of dollars to spend on a flash wedding like that... I was thinking more along the lines of September or October next year - 2014, you know? Time yet to plan, and yet soon enough (hopefully) to keep my family from imploding from anticipation...

We ordered and paid for the ring! I should have it on my finger in less than 2 weeks now!
So very very excited...

I'm thinking Lily might actually be part Valkyrie: feisty but easily distracted by shiny things. lol
