What's the "other stuff" in this discussion? Nothing yet Given the nature of this board it's only a matter of time before the thread gets hijacked though,

Was that the time before everyone had Top Gun avatars and usernames when I could tell who I was talking to? I always stayed true to the Gorvar.

Actually, in the era of the New Jedi Order, Jedi are allowed to marry. Just look at Luke and Mara.

It could be argued that the injunction against marriage causes as much harm as it prevents. Even Revan can say as much in KotOR.
Luke was a smart guy to toss that old rule out.

Luke had ulterior motives... (Like not being even close to getting lucky except with his sister for 3 years.)

Luke was wise! He recognised what had in part cost the Jedi their lives, and Vader his humanity. Revan got it too, but he had to be taught it by the magical oracle of perfect wisdom that is Jolee Bindo:
"A life without love is boring. Is that how you want to live your life? No, love doesn't lead to the dark side. Passion can lead to rage and fear, and can be controlled... but passion is not the same thing as love. Controlling your passions while being in love - that's what they should teach you to beware. But love itself will save you, not condemn you."

Actually, in the era of the New Jedi Order, Jedi are allowed to marry. Just look at Luke and Mara. Well Ki-Adi Mundi also had kids; but i think that was allowed because his goverment was pressuring the Jedi Council hard about that. ...pressuring hard. Y-you get it? Because with hard i mea-ah forget it. But yeah Luke did the wisest thing to get rid of the forced celibacy stuff. I mean they arent the Night's Watch for pete's sake.

Which is why if I were Jedi, I'd be rogue. That and Sith chicks are hotter than most Jedi chicks (for my tastes anyways; exceptions being Mira and the Echani Handmaiden from KOTOR II)

Mira and Handmaiden are rogue jedi though. The exile was never officially re-instated as a member of the order so anything re-established by same was the result of the Exile's establishment of their own new rogue order.
