When it was krogan, guys in pink armour, drell and geth teaming up to kill hundreds of... other geth on Palaven I thought Multiplayer mode was stretching believability a bit.
Now I'm looking at vorcha and people with swords and impossible stealth moves taking on the god damned Collectors. I could have sworn there was a plot point in Mass Effect 2 where Shepard killed the Collectors, at extraordinarily great cost. Apparently ****ing not. Evidently absolutely nothing of consequence happened in Mass Effect 2, ecxcept that Shepard aided the Illusive Man in gaining Reaper technology and getting indoctrinated. Well that was certainly worth getting arrested, sacrificing the Batarians and losing the support of the ****** Alliance and half your squad. We didn't necessarily stop the Collectors, but we totally handed their tech over to a terrorist who immediatly betrayed us. Outstanding.
I'm infuriated by the laziness and the break of continuity here. Collectors??!? Did they not even think, for like a minute, about the implications of the Collectors surviving? That was the sole objective of the middle game. And throw in ninjas too. Gamers like ninjas. And what about Batman? Put him in. Jesus Christ.

We already had Batman. Well OK Bat-turian.
I think this is the first time i've seen you this worked up when I was not the cause Buch. I'm a little concerned.

I'm in the middle of a bad movie and having a bad week.
But this really does piss me off. The *sole* point of the second game was to - and I quote - 'stop the Collectors'. Every other single thing that hapenned in the game was at the cost of doing that. Now, apparently, the events of that game were a colossal waste of time on Shepard's part.
It just blows my mind that the people behind this didn't stop to think about the implications. There is a bloody reason the Collectors are dead. It's called the plot.

I think Multiplayer is like a AU thing sicne in some playthroughs, the Drell or the Geth or the quarians get fukced over very hard and cant help because...you know, they are dead to that player.

That doesn't mean there can't be a few survivors helping out, though.
And I get that the multiplayer can be AU if the player likes, but it is not intended to be. It happens in the game = it is canon. The 'N7 squads' are a legit part of the story, however tiny. And by throwing this tiny thing in, they demolish the plot of the middle act of their story.
Whats worse is that you just know that this will be the enemy in the Omega DLC. Don't you? Imagine the fun - you and Aria T'Loak, taking time out of your galactic war to help the woman from the Matrix win back a massively inconsequential gangster den from the aliens who by no means should exist anymore. That DLC is going to be worth every penny.

We were all in the Matrix, Gorvar. Maybe we still are.
But yeah, Aria is played by Carrie Anne Moss.
