If you think it's boring, you aren't playing God hard enough.

More like the game everyone forgives I guess.
Neverwinter Nights 2.
I don't hate the game, but from my distant memory, it's one of those Obsidian games that I'm having struggle to enjoy with at times. There's some lovely spots (Such as Sand, your drunkard uncle) but then there are characters that rubbed me the wrong way, such as Casavir, Qura, That druid chick, etc. And the ending itself... well it weren't for the fact it's actually a cliffhanger that leads into MotB expansion pack, I would lump this game having an almost shit ending to ME3...
Almost. You still have choices and they did some detailed epilogue detailing your actions that affects the Neverwinter City, your friends, etc.
Also on an plus side, the court room sequence was waaay much better than ME3. Honest to god, at least you can dictate how you wiggle your way out of this mess, using your charm, evidence, etc.
Still for an Obsidian game, it's a little underwhelming to me if it weren't for the expansion.

NWN2 was okay, nothing groundbreaking in my pov...then again the game kidna put me ff since my Half Orc barbarian turned out to be part of the City Watch. This is like Discworld stuff right here.

Aside from what you mentioned there was one thing I loved about NWN2 above all else. The trial. Not really that the outcome was the same win or lose but the actual dialogue during the trial was awesome.

I agree, the trial sequence is the best part of the game. With the right stats and influence, you convince the court that you didn't do it in the most magnificent way as possible. Also the part where Sandra (can't remember her name) makes a heart warming speech on how wonderful I am and I'm not the type to do got around and rampage on that village is a nice touch.
I wish more games that have well written sequences such as this. Modern AAA seemed to be really dumb down these days.

While I haven't played Heavy Rain but I watched some videos about it on YouTube, I really don't like that game for a variety of reasons. The gameplay's tedious and the story's is not very good, with some parts filled with plenty of plot holes. I remember someone from an IRC room saying that Heavy Rain's like riding in a tank without the gun. It's fun to ride on one, but eventually without the boom, it gets boring very quickly.

To be fair, at least it's different from most games at the time (even now sadly). And mind you, it's probably very popular with the Japanese, since they like their visual novels.
Still, like all games, I'm not going to let this slide though. The story is horrid I admit. It still far from the likes of the great novelists works, such as LA Confidential, American Tabloid, Good Omens, etc. but that's B grade games storytelling for you I suppose.

Hold this button down to do a casual action, like opening a door. Didn't hold the button all the way? Oops, try again!

What's with that assumption? I play other games besides shooters such as the Walking Dead, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, etc.

A bit jumpy are we? I'm only stating about the AAA games in general, I haven't even mention you.
One more note about Heavy Rain. At least it's trying something interesting and regardless of your opinions on that game, I will give it a shot if I get a PS3 someday for the sake of experience.
