Makes sense. No one knows stereotypical Canada jokes like Canadians. I think we make most of it up ourselves.

I can't imagine a less insulting stereotype than 'overly polite and kind'. From what I've heard, Canada sounds like a wonderful place. You also have the best national anthem I've ever heard.

Oh Buch....
But politeness is good though, especially on the internet these days!

Politeness is a great thing, and as a fairly stereotypical Englishman I have a lot of respect for it!

As a guy who used to really be into pro wrestling, I associate Canada with Bret Hart and his family.

The Hart Foundation was one of the pro wrestling teams back in the day.

At this point, I think the series has generated too much cash for them to leave it be. They're not going to leave it be until they've squeezed it dry.
Don't try to outdo the huge, grand end-of-the-universe story line. Any attempt to make bad guys worse than the reapers will just come out silly.
Instead, go smaller. Concentrate on a small group of characters. Flesh out their stories. Give them an adventure that doesn't involve saving every living thing in existence. Similar to something like Firefly, but more "Mass Effect" and less "western in space". You have a huge universe with tons of back story, but the important thing would be the characters.
You could go backward or forward with a story like this. Band of outcasts sets out into the the galaxy shortly after humanity discovers the mass relays. Or forwards, as a group scrapes along to survive in a galaxy that has been decimated by the Reapers. Make it more like an RPG (like the first game), bring back stronger story telling and less Micheal Bay inspired "YEAHHHHHHHHH EXXXPLOSSSIONS". Oh and make it so your choices can actually affect the outcome of the game... Not just which color space magic you get.
This or leave the ME universe as is. My two cents.

While we're at it, I want a New Vegas in space game, preferably developed by Obsidian. But neither are those are plausible due to Casey still taking the (fucking) helm and Obsidian is too busy with Project Eternity. Even if they are not busy, I get the feeling that they didn't care for the series themselves, which I can't blame them.
Wait... this isn't the wishlist thread... ah who cares.

I would love to see what happens after the reaper threat. especially since ME3 had the ending of which we do not speak. if the do a prequel i wont care much for it. What i'd really like to see is an "open world" ME where you chose an affiliation and do missions that you make or chose like assassins creed and control part of the galaxy and have play style like that old gamecube game called battlefield where you chose a unit and go into third person or lead a squad like every other mass effect. but have the choice to do what you want.
