This has little to do with anything, but I wanted to vent.
I really hate it when people say 'I could care less' when they mean 'I couldn't care less'. People just don't think about what words and phrases mean when they say them. 'I could care less' is the opposite of what they mean.

That infuriates me too.
I hate it when people sing along to music when they are in my car, and the have NO talent whatsoever. It just ruins the song.

That's annoying.
I also hate getting off a train or tram and having the people getting on barging past you because they're so desperate not to get left behind that they think it's okay to push you back. I give them dirty looks. Maybe I should start yelling.
(I could do hundreds of these.)

omg, I was just talking to my sister about this the other day. Mostly about how the English language has been tailor-made to just absorb all of these slang terms without losing steam.
A few others that were brought up on Family Guy the other night were (under pain of death):
"irregardless" "a whole nother" and "all of the sudden"
I personally can't stand how the rap community has slowly been destroying the language. A whip is not a car. Stunners are not glasses. Get over it! >=O

My mother once said to me, "Be careful what you say", since she always told me words cut deeper into the social interaction than I've antisipated. So I've tried to watch myself when communicating to others but due to my condition... well, i'll probably cause some people to get mad due to my lackster in social skills in verbal and grammar sense. (Trust me, my craptastic commnication will drive everyone up the wall in rl) Btw, is this the ranting thread? I don't really talk about shit that hits the roof too offern as I don't want to be called a whinger or something along the lines. (Pardon my spelling I'm typing on a PC without a spellchecker in-built >.<) I do have a couple of gripes that tends to bring me into the loss of sanity: First thing first... I HATE elitists. I don't f**king care if that person know every single trick you can take an advantage in a PvP setting in WoW or knowing every single anime that comes out since the creation of it but if you act like a jackass snob who thinks that they are more suprior then you are just because they have the knowledge/moves/gear/wealth/etc, etc; who likes to scare off newcomers while blantly insult them to the bone. God, go outside for goddamn sake! Second pet peeve would be Assignments and Uni. As much as I love my course, the stress is taking on the toll at the moment for me. I'm getting close to the edge of sanity atm and the stress cause me to forget sometimes that Designing Games should be about fun not fustration and tear jerkers. One last thing, Speaking of public transport, I have traveling on the bus or train during peak hour, it's horrid with a pack full of passengers where I might not be able to find a seat and sometimes drama do start up once in a while which makes it worse like that other week two girls began a cat fight in the middle of a pack bus... As Euripides said once in his plays "The Unexpected God makes it possible, And what it happens here today."

Btw, is this the ranting thread? It certainly is. Rant away. I for one will like you more - there's nothing I like more than complaining about things. My friends and family are sick of it. Elitists like that are a pain I agree. And you know what else I hate? This one is specific. I hate the film Breakfast at Tiffany's. And I hate Barbarella, too. Also, the entire Scary Movie franchise.

I'd just like to add Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds to the list.

Also, the entire Scary Movie franchise. How about this one? www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpWOZmp6ajY&feature=channel_pageWould that turn your frown upside down? Speaking of Hugh Jackman, well he got barraged by Mr. Ten Questions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYAGIM6eDFkWhile we're on the topic, I add that I'm a sad panda that another of my favorite bookshop is clased down recently so looks like I'll had a hard time finding another book about Game Design I blame Borders >.<

Oh, I hate them all! Scary Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie... urgh. Like the trailer here says, there's no jokes- just references!
Reference Movie looks pretty good!
And Hugh Jackman does seem like a really nice, handsome, happy guy. So hating him is hard. But I do.

I'd now like to add people who call each other 'hon' but spell it with a U rather than an O. This includes a dear friend of mine, who thankfully doesn't read these forums.

That reminds me of something I hate! People using terms of endearment when they don't know you. I hate being called things like "love" when I've never even met the person before.

Yah, never mess with the word "love". That word is a total serious business. Also, I get the feeling some bratty teen will call my recent painting of my original character a vampire due to her... "appearance." anyways my pet peeve of the day was I hate it when someone turn a cool concept into some really, god damn, fucking lame; thanks to the stupidity of artists or whatever that puts into the mainstream spotlight which ruins the whole thing. eg: Vampires (now called lol sparklevires) It will be a fucking great insult for me if someone mistaken my character for a vampire thanks to her red eyes and sickly pale skin

In an unrelated subject - I like your new vampire character, Till!

I see what you did that Mr. Buch.
FYI, she doesn't have fangs nor sparkles in the sun. *ahem*
I'm going to let this slide just once. the next bubble air headed, pixie, sparkle vampire loving bimbo will get glued to a tree.
(She does have certain habits that close to a vampire trait like pale, sicky skin and she really, really gets irritated at the thought of stepping into the sunlight but she's an albino. A normal human with red eyes, white hair and pale skin but completely normal.)
As for the painting, well thanks but it's unfinished, I've just started yesterday.

Number eighty-three:
Television presenters who identify their job title as 'Presenter'.
Presenter of what, you egomaniac? Just because your life invovles a lot of televison doesn't mean mine does. How hard is it to say 'TV presenter' instead? But no, you all just assume that TV is so damn important and fantastic that it't the only thing that might be presented.
It'd be like library assistants calling themselves 'assistants' or something. Might have better examples later, but you see my point.

Something I hate - my mother likes to wake me up in the morning to perform various meaningless tasks like checking the weather forecast or answering the phone. But she won't just wake me once, she'll wake me every hour, or half hour, ruining my sleep pattern and leaving with a godawful headache for the rest of the day.
Also, Till - to fix your sig you want [ url=LINK ] [ img ] PICTURE LINK [ /img ] [ /url ], just remove all the spaces.
