I had a go at him via Twitter and we exchanged sarcastic comments. Which I'm sure accomplished a great deal for the representation of short people. I expect they will build a statue of me. xD

He must have broken away from their top notch (2 drunk frat boys in front of a TV) security to manage that feat. Engaging him in any discourse has already been proven to be unproductive I'm afraid. On topic. Holy screamimg fuck what the hell was he thinking with those comments. There are not a lot of little people out there it's true but contrary to popular belief, they really can see the monitors and reach those keyboards. What. An. Ass.

....Tillian owed me super hard in this topic. I must hereby resign...and take the black. But... what will Missus Gorvar think of you Taking the Black? Won't she miss you, Ser Gorvar? Also, Gaider's a jackass for those comments. I don't know much about who or what he is, but he's going to need a crane to wrest the massive foot from his mouth.

I gotta protect the Seven Kingdoms, Lily! You saw those Giants! The Night's Watch needs some dino's to balance things out!

Glad I'm not the only one who found those comments of his cruel -- I'm aware that sometimes I'm oversensitive and go around defending rights for the sake of it.
Anyways - back on topic.
THE ADVENTURES OF THE ARCHITECT (let me be the architect Jerry, I can do it!)
Today I was overjoyed to see that following in Origins' footsteps, Awakening also has a 'captured and made to wear rags in a dark and horrific dungeon and having to escape before the finale begins' section! Brilliant. That's kind of adorable in its cheesiness. xD

It's OK Gorvar. It's a light sword play practice. You just have to not be afraid to play dirty on an occasion. Now on a serious note before rearranging the rails again: I had a go at him via Twitter and we exchanged sarcastic comments. Which I'm sure accomplished a great deal for the representation of short people. I expect they will build a statue of me. xD They actually let Gaider back on Twitter again? I thought they had him securely locked away from contact with the fans after the debacle of DAII. On topic. Holy screamimg fuck what the hell was he thinking with those comments. There are not a lot of little people out there it's true but contrary to popular belief, they really can see the monitors and reach those keyboards. What. An. Ass. Yeah, what a dick that Gaider was. Dwarfist. Still, I'm curious to see what happens if an actual dwarf took hold of this tweet. Like a dwarf version of Anita Skassian, who 'misinterpreted' Gaider's responses and begins to call out the SJW platoon. So what's next? Gaidergate? Anyway railroading back to the subject. How's awakening, Buch?

I gotta protect the Seven Kingdoms, Lily! You saw those Giants! The Night's Watch needs some dino's to balance things out! Ser Gorvar of the Night's Watch! That's pretty hype! Actually anything gets hype with Dinosaurs. Imagine Saving Private Ryan with Dinosaurs during the D-Day landing? Metal as fuck dude!

I feel like sticking up for Gaider now. I'm sure he's not some kind of massive bigot, just that he has a tendency to make stupid comments.
How's Awakening? Good! Thanks for asking. I haven't played this, or DA2, since they were brand new so it's almost like playing them for the first time, which is a little treat for me. Enjoying Awakening very much - I love the idea of a 'mini' RPG - I wish this kind of thing could be done more often. And it's very solid. These character and quests almost feel wasted on such a small product.
And it's fascinating to see the roots of DA2 here - as you play Awakening, you can see inside Bioware's mind and understand some of the worse decisions they made - 'Anders and Justice are good characters - I'll put them in the next one... I like this novel idea of being responsible for a doomed city and spending all your time in it and seeing it change over time - maybe we could do that on a larger scale...' Also the plot is a little similar - the sense of helplessness and the downbeat ending where a civil war breaks out on your doorstep and you can only try to limit the damage. Also you have deeply flawed, untrustworthy companions rather than eternally loyal sidekicks, which I think was probably an expansion of Morrigan and Sten's role / Wrex in ME1, and which carried over into DA2 with Anders, Isabella and Merril's betrayals and the rivalry system. (Curiously barely present in ME2 and 3 - everyone pretty much has your back again like classic Bioware - even Miranda and Zaeed come around easily and will never turn on you). You can really see how the one game became another here. This is exactly halfway between the two.
Also Wade the incredibly camp blacksmith cracks me up.

Yeah, sticking up Gaider might be a good idea. Or at least point out he makes these terrible jokes over a fictional race. Like we need a Gamersgate 2.0.
As for Awakening, that's fascinating, how you can see the inner workings of BioWare from that game. To be fair, I do prefer expansions over DLCs, so Awakening is OK in my books from a glance.
By the way, Wade is a gay, did you know that? And I mean the gender preference kind, not the insult kind.

I did know he was gay, yes - when I heard that it made a lot of sense. One thing Dragon Age has never disappointed me with is its inclusion of realistic, varied and developed gay characters and options for gay romances. I hear Inquisition has a bisexual qunari, which is the definition of 'this I gotta see'.
