The author's responses to the review are further down the page. There's one reply in particular that definitely constitutes as "career suicide". Jacqueline Howett's Public Self-ImmolationShe makes Meyer seem vaguely coherent by comparison.

*clears throat*
Don't you mean "you're"?

Oh my God. This a goldmine.
I'm suddenly reminded of Chris Chan. At least that guy had better reasons to rant and yell about stuff.
EDIT: For those who don't know who Chris Chan is, don't look him up if you want to sleep tonight. Researching that imbecile if you haven't before is like watching the Exorcist for the first time... when you're a seven year old.

Is it the same guy who made that abomination known as "Sonichu"?
If he is, I don't blame you and yes, stay away from him. He's full of bad news.

Yeah, that's the guy. There's a whole wiki his trolls made about him that highlights every horrifying aspect of his life, and incidentally, it's morbidly hilarious as well, but you have to be into that sort of thing like I am.
Back to Howett: I was looking into the anonymous responses, and I saw an awful lot of comments saying "This type of behavior is the thing that's plaguing the indie writing scene". Is this implying that this crap happens more often than I thought it did? If so, I really do fear becoming a writer if that's the case.

Wow. That's quite the childish tirade. Somehow you think of authors as being calm, wise beings. In pastels.

Sorry I just have to write this
"You did not download the fresh copy...this is bull****...you did NOT." I added the words in italics for emphasis.
When you write similar to how Tommy Wiseau speaks...you suck.

She said "Fuck Off!" twice.
Not once.
Twice.
Jesus, this woman is an unbelievable stooge.

As somebody else in the comments pointed out, there is no such thing as an "emergency copy" in publishing either. Especially not for Kindle editions.

"Fuck Off!" Said the bratty author in the comment section, before moping at her keyboard like a schoolgirl.
What a classy comment she made.

I read like 20 comments and I thought this was a joke!
That. Is. Incredible.
It's too bad for her that royally sucking doesn't get you famous in the book world--that only works on youtube.

I've spent a lot of time browsing the ol' cwciki. That guy is a real duckhead. Schadenfreude at it's finest. Also, does the woman on the cover of the book remind anyone of Miranda?

She does... creepy enough.
On serious note, if she pulled the same stunt in the games industry, every single game writers including freelancers will laugh their pixelated ass off till she was shooed out of the industry for good.
Looks like she murdered her career for life with a broken shotgun.

Anyone else having the lulz? Oh crap, this is awesome! This is like watching a bad movie where one actor over-reacts and it all goes down.
