Yes indeed, me and Knightfall (better known by our stage name, Buch 'n' Knight) have written a KotOR fanfic. Actually it's two fics, on each, but they kind of connect and are meant to mirror each other. So. Here is Knight's fic. And here's mine. ---- ---- Advertising, there! This is (once again) supposed to be my last stab at fanfic (he talked me into it) - and for both of us it is intended as a kind of 'eulogy' for the game we both love so ridiculously, and Darth Revan, who we suspect is not coming back. We have two more chapters to add each - hopefully should be up in a few days.

(Didn't want to start a new thread!) After having fun playing SWTOR all weekend and suffering through the new Revan novel, my dueling feelings of excitement and frustration convinced me to start writing another KotOR story. Pretty much just wanted to show Drew Karpyshyn that it was indeed possible to juggle eight characters and not lose the focus of the story. (Not sure why he made that argument.) Here's what I have of the first chapter if anyone's interested, or feels like critiquing something: Beyond the Edge

I like it! You've really got a handle on all the characters, there.

I will take a look as soon as these auditions are over.
You know, that terrible, terrible book had a similar effect on me: I write best when I'm angry and that novel was plenty of reason to get angry. It convinced me to finally write the concluding bit of my own Exile/Handmaiden fic. So, yeah. When life gives you lemons....
EDIT: Okay, I read it anyway. And I'm not going to lie to you: I love it. Especially that bit with Canderous. And also Mission covering her eyes wit Big Z's hand.

Thanks for reading it, everyone! Not quite sure how far to take it; probably just cover those two years before Karpyshyn's canon-destroying march through the Old Republic. Even though I was pretty sure that Revan left almost immediately after the Star Forge... could've sworn, anyway.
I need to play KotOR 2 again soon. xD

The Mission and Jolee bits were absolutely wonderful. I wanted to hug both of them.
And so you'll be continuing this? Interesting. Now I see why it has such a dark tone. Well, I really look forward to reading it.
And yeah, I always thought Revan left immediately after the battle of the Star Forge. I think Kreia even said as much. I have no idea why he changed this - does it take two years to get married, concieve a child and have some memories return? But I see you will be adding to, rather than giving an alternative to, Karpy's book here?
In fact, wasn't KotOR 2 supposed to be 'two years later'? If so, he messed that up do by making it four years or whatever.

I think it took Revan a year to get his memories back and piss off, and then KotOR 2 is 5 years after the first game (according to the back of the box.)

Yeaaaah... This is weird to me, because Star Wars authors have access to the Holocron and Wookiepedia. How did he mess up the timeline so badly?
