I was listening to the shoundtrack to the movie Chicago today while walking, and I had an epiphany. - Just skip a minute or so and listen to Richard Gere's singing voice, here... Are you thinking what I'm thinking? 1) Renee Zellweger plays one hell of a ventriloquist's dummy. Great work there. And- 2) Why the hell did they cast Matthew Broderick as Inspector Gadget when they made that movie?! Richard Gere looks and sounds exactly like him!Broderick: Looks nothing like Gadget, too young, can't even act 'surprised' for a still photograph.Gere: ACTUALLY IS Inspector Gadget.Right? Somebody needs to re-boot this franchise, right now!

I see where you're going with this, but that video was very freaky to me. The guy who directed Chicago is directing the new Pirates of the Caribbean film. Hurmmm.

I don't think you guys are taking this seriously enough.
This about my idea to make a new INSPECTOR GADGET movie with Richard Gere. And how good an idea that is, and how clever I am.

That's right. Everbody better be lavishly praising Mister Butch or we will be clapped in irons and flogged.
Also, Buch, it isn't all that bad of an idea.

Richard Gere as what? Yeah yeah I know you want him as gadget. I don't see it. I don't see Gere as Gadget. Really I don't see Gere as anything as he is tolerable for me at best. In fact the only actor I do see as Gadget is dead. Peter Sellers could have done it but then again Inspector Clouseaux was more or less the template from which Gadget sprang.

I'm not keen on Richard Gere either, honestly. I just got freaked out when I realised how much he sounds and looks like Gadget this morning. The world had to know.

Very good point about Inspector Clouseau, by the way! I never even realised that!

Clouseaux's better. He's got a cheesy french accent and doesn't need his niece and genius dog to not fight crime.

Did Clouseau ever open a scene with the line, 'Well, Penny, here we are in Scotland! This is where scotch tape comes from!'
;D
