I see and agree with your points. If I get back to it i WILL be part of the story. The point is not to have a fatally flawed character or one who is going break down, but I was definately going somewhere with it. Problem I had with ME 2 was Shepard seemed to have no doubts at all to the point of being robotic. Everyone has doubts and the farther into the corner you are pushed the more they will show. This does have an impact and will be noticed by others. The backed into a corner someone gets the more on the surface their feelings and doubts are. In the prologue, the doubts are monumental. So tht explains why it more on the surface there. I am just tired of seeing "perfect Shepard" in the game.
He doesn't think he is fooling anybody, by the prologue everyone around has the same doubts, it's no longer so much on his shoulders. As the final fight progresses the old confidence may have a chance to return. But in order to talk more about it I better darn well write more about it first.

While this attitude is a great Chick Magnet as Alistair has proven in Age of Dragons, I believe it's Warlord Dragon Age.
