Fail. Damn stream of conscious writing! That looks pretty horrible.

HBO is fine. I could care less what the actors of the show are doing. That's why it is called acting. I am of course referring to the characters.

Yeah, that much seemed obvious. But something about the way you phrased it raised a bunch of red flags for me. Haha.

If you're into fantasy at all, these books are must read. Don't expect happy endings though, for most of the characters. It's gritty, dark, violent and very entertaining. I hate grit. Really I do. Call me stupid, but I like my fiction cheerful, light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek. Anyways, I've got the first episode of this recorded. Who knows? I may enjoy it. It'll be easier than reading the books, at any rate.

I could have been a morsel clearer. The actors were aged up specifically to get past the censors I suspect. In any event the characters were aged up by several years as well as Sean Bean and whoever it was that played Cate Stark are clearly about a decade older than the characters in the books they portray.
In the books it's just...GAH! 14 year old kid takes an irrevocable vow to give up up family and country to serve in the colder place in Hell and hardly an eye is batted. 13 year old girl is wedded and de-flowered. Incest abounds, though I suppose that justifies just how barking mad so many of these characters are. I'm halfway through A Song of Ice and Fire and am enjoying it but GRR Martin really likes to wallow in the dirt here.

Well that makes perfect sense. Sometimes I just lapse into Literal Reading Mode. It gets me into trouble occasionally. Haha.
I hear you on the grimness, though. Sometimes it seems like authors just try to come up with the most tortuous things imaginable for their characters. The Sparrow kind of ended up like that, though I still thought it was very good.

The Hollywood Reporter described the guy who plays Jaime Lannister as "The Incestuous Defenestrator". Not only is that a great title, but I am frankly amazed that THR even knew the word "defenestrator", much less how to use it. Hollywood Reporter's "Who's Who on 'Game of Thrones'"
